Until this year, I had only camped a few times in my life. The Summer of 2020, we went camping almost EVERY weekend! Here is my favorite gear I had as a newbie! Camping Week! Continuing to share a few of my favorite places (so far) to camp throughout the week. Favorite places to camp 2️⃣- Slide Lake/Gros Ventre Wilderness Wyoming. Enter the Gros Ventre Wilderness through Kelly, WY. Make sure to stop at @kellyonthegrosventre for a cold beer and good views before you find your camping spot. Easy Margarita Recipe: - Tequila - Triple Sec - @waterloosparkling lemon-lime sparkling water - One 12 ounce can of limeade - Lime, cut into wedges - Water - Margarita Salt Directions: Pour 12 ounce can of limeade into a pitcher. Use the limeade can to measure the rest as follows: 4 cans water, 1.5 cans tequila, 1/2 can triple sec. Combine limeade, water, tequila, and triple sec into a pitcher. Stir to combine. Traveling to Jackson Hole in the Winter? Make sure to go on a sleigh ride through the National Elk Refuge. You'll get up-close to Jackson Hole's largest elk herd via a horse drawn sleigh. February is the best time to go as all elk have migrated down to the refuge by then. Due to COVID, I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Check out their website here for more information. Mackinac Island is one of my favorite places in the world. We live in Wyoming now, but both my husband and I are born and raised in Michigan. One of my favorite destinations in Michigan? Mackinac Island. The island is considered Michigan’s “Crown Jewel” and 100% lives up to it's name.
