By Jennifer Folegatti GCCA Math & Science Teacher Before this school year began, the idea of me teaching Calculus was put on the table. “What are they thinking?!” I asked myself, “I haven’t even thought about calculus in about 20 years! Much less have any idea how to teach it classically!” As I began to wrestle with how to teach a new-to-me class on a subject that was not the easiest for me to wrap my mind around the purpose of, I came to find an amazing jewel of beauty in a subject that I admittedly always enjoyed, but never fully understood.  Just as I have sought to redeem my perso ..read more

By Benjamin Booth GCCA Upper School Teacher On January 10, 2022, Grace Classical Christian Academy will be hosting a friendly debate/discussion between three individuals on the Millennium of Revelation 20. In preparation for this debate, I thought it would be helpful to give you the reasons for why we study secondary doctrine at Grace Classical Christian Academy. First, the language must be defined. By: Catherine Moore GCCA 2nd Grade Teacher  One of the glimpses of God’s grace we get to see by being a part of Grace Classical Christian Academy is teaching our children to store up heavenly treasures.  In second grade we study Ancient Egyptian history. During this study we learn about pyramids, mummies, idols, and false gods. The Egyptians believed their pharaohs were gods and would rule eternally in the afterlife with all their wealth, food, and power. In class, we discuss Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 6:19-25 about storing up heavenly treasures. We discuss what those heavenly treasu ..read more

By Josiah Horton, GCCA Music Teacher Christian worship should relate to Scripture; this includes family worship. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” - Colossians 3:16-17 The Bible teaches an unavoidable truth; we should teach and admonish one another through song. Ephesians 6:4 states, “And you, fathers, do not provoke you ..read more

Why GCCA: The Cross Family

Making the move to GCCA has been the best decision we have made for our kids' education and spiritual growth! We started GCCA in 2017 after visiting this sweet small school a few times. We were blown away seeing what these little brilliant minds could do! And their memory of scripture was so refreshing and mind blowing, we were a little bit shocked!  Coming from public education, we knew this was going to be a radical move, but so worth it! God is so good and kind as he prepared all our hearts for this new way of learning. We had our fears and doubts if we would truly be able to make the ..read more
