Hello, everyone - I have a question about Star Trek Coda that's been on my mind for some time.
Now, from what I understand about "Coda", the Devidian invasion of the multiverse is collapsing whole, entire timeline/universes, universes that are unstable because they're "splinter timelines" that have diverged in some way from the "Prime Timeline" and that the Devidians are gorging themselves on the bioneural energy of all life in the collapsing universe and that the invasion of the First...

I don't have a copy readily available, and need some help from the TrekLit Brain Trust™.
In the early days of TNG before we had our hero's backstories fully fleshed out, some of the details presented in lit were wrong (no slight to any authors, it was the wild west then). I have a memory of Riker's hometown being stated as Yaznez, Alaska, which is not a real place in my state (later in canon established to be Valdez, Alaska, a very real place). Am I imagining this, or is it in print? I...

Re-watched Picard S3 again, what are some books that give this "Vibe"? So Far I've come up with The Fall series, and a little of bit of Destiny. Dug the Ro Laren "Imposters" episode the most and it gave me a James Swallow feeling ::-)
What are come Trek books that fall along these type stories and feelings ..read more

As my username might suggest I have read some of the New Frontier books. I am about half way (?) through the series. I will try to give a review of those books that I have read thus far from memory. But first here are some reasons I picked up the series:
regular tie-in novels are constrained by the fact they might happen between episodes. even if they are not, you couldn't just write a book killing off Riker for example. Or if you did, it wouldn't really have much of an impact as...

Ok, I was lucky and my wife let me go to Shore Leave this year (usually falls during our anniversary) and get my copies of the early release books. I devoured this book and was done by Sunday. All I can say is W O W !!!! Christopher Bennett comes through again. He did a wonderful job building on the fallout of Before Dishonor and provided believeable (for the most part) explanations for everyone's atypical behaviour in the last novel....

TNG: Before Dishonor by Peter David
Blurb:
An enemy so intractable that it cannot be reasoned with. The entire race thinks with one mind and strives toward one purpose: to add our biological distinctiveness to their own and wipe out individuality, to make every living thing Borg.
In over two centuries, the Federation has never encountered a greater...

I have never read any of the Vanguard/Seekers series. As a fan of the Corps of Engineers, I've decided to branch out and read this series. I know that the SCE stories "Foundations," "Time Stands Still," and "Distant Early Warning" are connected to the Vanguard Series. As someone who likes to read things in order (not necessarily chronological order but in a consistent order with regard to narrative and theme), what other books, particularly TOS, are connected to Vanguard? Using ryan123450's...

I'm getting worried when I see the current trends in Star Trek, all the character destruction and destruction of important planets in the Star Trek Universe.
Let's start with TrekLit which seems to have lost everything in recent years.
I was very angry when I discovered that
Spoiler: Second Self
Una McCormack destroyed Garak and made him look like an idiot in the book Second Self before killing him off.
Now I have found out that in the Kathryn Janeway Biography [SPOILER="The...
