What Made Me Become Pro-life?
Two Measures Foolish

What Made Me Become Pro-life? I was an atheist until I was 30 years old. Being an atheist, I also had the liberal mindset on many issues including evolution and abortion. My BIG catalyst was my belief in evolution. Either you believed in an intelligent designer (God) or you did not. To me, evolution gave me and others like me, the platform to believe that all life came from non-life. Life sprang up from the primordial ooze on its own without guidance from something or someone else. No God needed. Evolution does not have morals. Survival of the fittest is its main tenant. Nothing is good or ..read more

Fathers Wisdom Every father that commits to sticking around Will one day to his astonishment find that he’s found A kernel or two of wisdom to share If only he can and if only he dare Dear dad is lucky when these insights come from above Being based in truth and wrapped in love The only problem being he doesn’t know how To make his mouth work except eating chow Words don’t come easy and his oracle prowess is poor He’s a man of deep thoughts but talking’s a chore He hopes that a look or a grunt will convey All the thoughts and advice he wished he could say Of course there are some dads that ..read more

Alone and Afraid in Phoenix
Two Measures Foolish

Alone and Afraid in Phoenix When God gives us “divine appointments,” they are unmistakable. They usually challenge us to step out of our comfort zone and into His hands of grace. Here’s how He recently reached out to a “missing person” and to me as well: I combine my love of walking and my love of architecture and construction with routes that feature the newest construction here in metro Phoenix. This past Wednesday took me to the Central and Indian School Road area. It ended up being a divine appointment, God putting me in the right place at the right time. As I was getting ready t ..read more

From Death to Healing
Two Measures Foolish

From Death to Healing The following two articles were written by a mother whose son had committed suicide. The first was written over thirty years ago, shortly after her son took his life. She wrote the first on the advice of her counselor at the time, to help her heal from this horrific event in her and her husband’s life. The second she wrote just a short time ago. It was interesting to see how her perspective did or did not change over the last thirty years.   Guest Blog By Carole France   “My dearest John, I miss you. I long to hear your voice and to share days, hours o ..read more

A Coming Judgment of Mankind “But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times of great stress and trouble will come, difficult days that will be hard to bear. For people will be lovers of self, narcissistic, self- focused, lovers of money impelled by greed, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, and they will be unloving devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control, intemperate, immoral, brutal, haters of good, traders, reckless, conceited, lovers of sensual ..read more

The Law and The Redemptive Process A brief overview of the book of Romans General and special revelation have very strong differences that are easily distinguishable: revelation given by direct divine intervention is special revelation and general revelation is accessible to all by virtue of living in the world. General revelation is available universally and was pursued by means such as Philosophy wherein geniuses like Plato and Aristotle were able to make great strides in the realm of theology by utilizing philosophy to develop arguments like the Argument from Contingency (Arist ..read more

Sixty Seventh Birthday Message

Sixty Seventh Birthday Message Gentlemen, this is my 67th birthday message. Today I get to preach to the group! Each year I love getting closer to the arms of Jesus. Everything we have ever hoped for, dreamed for, longed for and the final fulfillment of every need that has been built into us by God Himself is to be with Jesus someday. The ultimate perfect relationship and marriage is the best illustration. Everything here on this planet is a reminder that we are not yet with Him and the battle, the great battle is not to find temporary substitutions for those need fulfillments in the flesh ..read more

What Makes an Atheist?
Two Measures Foolish

What Makes an Atheist? Are we born not believing in God or an intelligent designer of the universe? Is it something else or a combination of things that come to a head in people’s minds that helps us make that fateful decision? I am sure many reasons are closely related because it may not be a simple process. Is it an intellectual process or something more profound, like an emotional response that clouds our minds that happened from the past? This world we live in is a tough place for many people and always has been. Life has been physically hard in past generations, but it has also been br ..read more

My War With Covid-19  January 15th of 2021 was the beginning of a very difficult experience with Covid-19.  It started with what I thought were some allergies, and I begin taking Zyrtec-D.  On Saturday the 16th, I developed a dry cough but didn’t think anything of it as I did not have a temperature.  I hiked and biked on that Saturday and went out with friends to eat.  By Monday morning, I went out to eat with a good friend at a breakfast place and had delicious blue corn pancakes with Bananas Foster.  By that afternoon, I was tired and then exhausted, and by t ..read more
