Flee Moscow’s paedocommunion

…why should we offer poison instead of life-giving food to our tender children?– John Calvin condemning paedocommunion Each of us has spent significant time the past couple of years warning brothers and sisters in Christ against Moscow’s promotion of their paedocommunion schism. We’ve decided it’s time to revisit our warnings here at Warhorn. The schism should not be simply the subject of private warnings, but also public warnings and condemnations. This is for the restoration of the unity of the Church, but also for the protection of the souls of the sheep God has entrusted to us for feedin ..read more

Black Gold

This parable was written by my grandfather, Joe Bayly, and is part of his collection of stories, The Gospel Blimp (and Other Parables). A recent email from a Christian organization inspired me to republish it here for free.  Judson Dormer came out of China in 1949. He was swept out by the Communist regime, along with thousands of other missionaries and their dependents. They left the church behind, its hospitals and schools and other institutions possessed by the enemies of God. After a short rest in the small town in upper New York from which he had first gone to China, and to which he ..read more

Wheaton College & President Buswell: repentance as dramaturgy

(Sixteenth in a series; 8,000 views as of 3/14/24) NOTE from TB: Wheaton alums have emailed a number of responses to this series. Here’s one received from the son of a nationally-prominent Evangelical leader who was a Wheaton alum from the time of Buswell’s presidency: As I read this last post I was reminded of my father saying the trustees chose Edman for his malleability and lack of courage. They were never again going to permit a president like Buswell to lead Wheaton…. At their January 1940 meeting, the trustees of Wheaton College asked for the resignation of their president, J. Oliv ..read more

Dispassionate disquisitions on heresy
Warhorn Media

Read a bunch of reviews of a book of rank feminist heresy deconstructing God the Father yesterday. All the reviews discussed the heresy in carefully modulated terms and were disgustingly obsequious toward the female author.   Avoid these hirelings. Such men are everywhere in the Reformed church today. Their refusal to warn, but always and everywhere to merely join the conversation, is just as destructive to souls as the heretics they’re reviewing. The man who cares more about how his peers view him and whether he’ll be seen as part of the conversation bears no resemblance to any prophet ..read more

Wheaton College & President Buswell: Billy Graham & Wheaton Anthropology

(Fifteenth in a series; as of 3/14/24, 8,000 views) Our Savior’s rule in judging a man is, “By their fruit ye shall know them.” Wheaton’s Historical Review Task Force took no interest in fruit, but stayed with assembling “gotchas” such as: Camp skits… [of Wheaton’s] HoneyRock Camp featured staff members in native headdresses, made deprecating references to “witch doctors,” and depicted children dressed as “Apache Indian maidens” [which] reveal …a level of ignorance at best and downright cultural insensitivity at worst. (p. 59) Imagine having a beer with one of these guys. They remind one of ..read more

Wheaton College & President Buswell: the smoking gun

(Fourteenth in a series; 8,000 views as of 3/14/24) The Wheaton employees who produced the Historical Review Task Force Report  claim the following correspondence between President Buswell and Trustee Hugo Wurdack is their “smoking gun” proving President Buswell was racist. Here is that correspondence in its entirety: May 17, 1939 Mr. Hugo Wurdack 5501 Lindell Boulevard St. Louis, Missouri Dear Mr. Wurdack, Some years ago you spoke to me about Wheaton admitting colored students. At that time we had no colored students in the College, though there were one or two in the Academy. I t ..read more

Wheaton College & President Buswell: girls don’t count

(Thirteenth in a series.) Let us now expose one lacuna, or should we say one gaping hole the Trustees of Wheaton College left in their Historical Review Task Force Report justifying their denunciation of former Wheaton President J. Oliver Buswell as a racist. Their central narrative has been that there were no Blacks on the Wheaton campus during President Buswell’s tenure; and that this was because President Buswell was a racist segregationist who opposed integration in education. The truth? Wheaton Academy was founded in 1853, and in 1860 the Academy founded Wheaton College. Thus, beginning ..read more

Alabama Supreme Court’s ruling: an embryonic awakening
Warhorn Media
by Tim Bayly

For decades, our genocidal culture has been killing around a quarter of the babies God has created and placed in the wombs of our mothers. Inured to the bloodshed of infants, the recent ruling of the Alabama Supreme Court may help to awaken us. Shocked to their core by this decision, the Democratic Party’s media shills have been frothing at the mouth. The half of our nation which does not fear God and has become shameless in its wickedness has no public policy they consider more fundamental to our uncivil disunion than freedom to murder their children. To have the Deep South state of Alabama ..read more

The Apostle Paul, Cleverness of Speech, and Tim Keller
Warhorn Media
by Alex McNeilly

The opening chapters of 1 Corinthians have a lot to say about wisdom. According to the Apostle Paul, there are two different kinds of wisdom: the wisdom of the world (a.k.a. the wisdom of this age, wisdom according to the flesh, the wisdom of men, human wisdom) and the wisdom of God. The wisdom of the world is naturally enticing to us, because it sounds great. It is characterized by “superiority of speech” (1 Cor. 2:1) and “persuasive words of wisdom” (2:4). Yet we are warned that this worldly wisdom will be destroyed (1:19), and that the worldly wise will be put to shame (1:27 ..read more

Tenth Presbyterian Church: sheep without a shepherd
Warhorn Media
by Tim Bayly
3M ago
(Ninth in a series.) Since the G.R.A.C.E Report prised open and released a carefully limited pile of information about the malfeasance and connivances of their pastors and elders in connection, particularly, with the sexual abuse of their sheep, much has been written about the officers of Tenth Presbyterian Church and Philadelphia Presbytery. Such importance has been placed on them that observers of the mess might be tempted to conclude the future of the congregation of Tenth is in the hands of those leaders. This is largely true. Even those with no experience caring for a flock of sheep or h ..read more
