Hey everyone, my partner and I just got the Ovox plugin and want to create live synthesized beats by beatboxing into ableton linked with a drum rack (similar what Dubler 2 allows you to do). So far we have been not very successful as the notes are not precisely generated when we box the beat into the mic. Often sounds like “tz” get not recognised at all or as the same note as for example a “kah” or “pff”. Multiple drum rack samples get activated at the same time so there isn’t any consistency. I have a Mac Studio m1max. So had issues with using pt and waves asio. I was able to fix the issue by the following. Expand the disk cash in pt to the max amount. Plus turned off Bluetooth and WIFI. I am recording an original that has 2 key modulations. The song starts in GMaj, moves to Am, then to FMaj. Hi, Everybody! I don’t know this question should be asked here. But I need for someone’s assistance. I have a question about Maximizer L1, L2. When should I activate IDR, Dither option? I know it’s better to use dither when I bounce with16bit or lower in the mastering. (I work on 24bit processing in Logic Pro X). So in this case I would select 16 Bits on Quantize section of L1 or L2. Because It’s re-quantized. But would it be better when I’m supposed to bounce at 24bit? If you’re a fan of AR TG Mastering Chain, give this a try for wide, GENTLE eq shaping. For your default EQ use these settings for EQs: #4: Frequency=4.1khz / Q=HIGH (shelf) #2: Frequency=724 / Q=LOW (shelf) Ideally you don’t need much EQ on your master bus. This gives you incredibly gentle overall EQ shaping, which is ideally the kind of gentle moves you make on the mix bus… And it leaves two EQs & the PRESENCE knob for any final narrower corrections.
