Hi guys, Sorry it’s taken me so long to hit publish on this. I’ve had a lot of these answers written in my notes section of my phone for a while now because I get these questions kind of frequently on Instagram now. The reason I’ve held off on publishing this is that I don’t want to come across as thinking I’m an expert on the subject- I’m obviously not. So please read this with grace and just know that I had ZERO KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE with Autism prior to this time last year, so I’m still learning and educating myself as well. okay now let’s just get into it…   Commo ..read more

dress: adeline mini dress   Hey guys- I’m back! I know it’s been forever since I’ve posted on here, but I’m hoping to get back into it, especially now that we are getting close to our move back to Boston and will have more exciting/new things going on. To be honest, I just haven’t felt like I had much to say on here this year. We’ve had a lot going on with my new business and Andre’s diagnosis, but other than that- I don’t feel like we really do much that would be interesting to write about. I’m really hoping that this year is different in that regard. With that said, we don’t have a con ..read more

WHAt is the name of the extension method? This gets confusing for people because there are so many different names and methods used now. So the various types of extensions are as follows: Clip in (where you take them in and out), tape in (where they literally tape them in– not as natural looking, but more affordable), beaded (where each strand of hair is attached to a bead along with the fake hair), and wefts: this is what I have (My girl Ashley uses a method called the Kacey Welch Method) and it essentially means that they attach a row of 6 or so beads around the base of your head that they t ..read more

WHAT I EAT IN A WEEK: Intermittent Fasting + 30 Days to Healthy Living

Hi Friends- Hope you all had a great week. By popular request, here’s a “What I Eat in a Week” roundup for y’all. I definitely forgot to take pictures of a few meals – but I still feel like this gives you a good idea of how I structure my day. I basically eat small meals and shakes from 12-9pm. I basically do my own version of Intermittent Fasting along with our 30 Days to Healthy Living program. I say my own version for two reasons: 1. Technically drinking my fizz and greens drink breaks my “fast” — but I still drink them anyway. I find it easier for me to get in all my liquids before noon wh ..read more

Hey guys!! Hope everyone is having a good week. Quick Andre update- he is absolutely loving school and seems to be really thriving there. I’m so so glad that we made the decision that we did – I think this year we are going to see leaps and bounds of improvement. As far as ABA and our decision there- we have a conference tomorrow afternoon with the school and the therapist so I’ll be able to get all my questions/hesitations cleared up then hopefully. Thank you again to everyone who reached out with advice- I really appreciate it. Okay as I said before, we are trying to limit Andre’s screen tim ..read more

Andre School Update + How We’re All Doing
AboutAbbyBlog

Hi guys! I asked on stories the other day what you would want to see more of on the blog now that Andre is going to be in school Monday-Friday and I’ll have more time on my hands. Well, the overwhelming answer was ANDRE (or motherhood related). LOL. I kind of figured it would be. I think the biggest thing on everyones minds right now is how he’s doing in school and how we’re doing with the diagnosis. For starters, Andre is doing great. He’s transitioned to the new school far better than we could have ever asked him to honestly. Especially with all the change and instability going on ar ..read more

Hi guys! I’m currently on the flight from Boston to Dallas and figured this was probably going to be my best bet for getting all your questions answered about Andre’s diagnosis. First, I want to again say thank you to everyone who’s reached out with prayers, kind words or advice- I really appreciate it and am so grateful for this community. Next, I’m going to give a brief update as to what the heck is going on in terms of our living plans. So we actually just signed a lease for a townhome yesterday. I spent several days looking for a house to lease for a year- but to be honest we really could ..read more

Hi guys! In case you missed it, the boys and I are finally back in Boston! Once Covid started we left to go home to Dallas, thinking it would be for only a couple weeks. Well, 2 weeks turned into a month, which turned into 2 months, which eventually turned into 12 weeks. LOL. With that said, we are super appreciative of the time spent with family there, but are happy to be back to our own place and establishing a routine again. As far as Boston goes, things seem to be opening up more and more as each week goes by and apart from the mandatory masks, it’s starting to feel “normal” again ..read more

If your’re someone who struggles to spend the extra dollar on yourself or spend time away from your kids– this is the post for you. First, please know that spending time or money on YOU is not a luxury- it’s a NECESSITY. It’s actually a vital part of being a good mother, I think. Through this platform, I’ve connected with countless moms. Working-moms, Stay-at-home moms, single-moms, moms with husbands who travel a lot, etc. And the one thing that I’ve noticed to be most-common, is the guilt that comes with investing in themselves. Is it any wonder that so many of us end up looking bac ..read more

hey guys! After our most recent trip to Dallas to celebrate the holidays, I had tons of messages asking me to do an updated post on flying with Andre!
