Hello, I am wondering if anyone owns and would be willing to sell a crossbow made by Ken Dendle. He was my grandfather, and I would just love to own one of his pieces. Any feedback would be incredibly appreciated, thank you! I understand no selling is allowed on here, but if anyone is willing to sell, please dm me. submitted by /u/Natural_Pea8940 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I don't know if this is the correct subreddit but I've got an issue that I need help with so I'm going to ask. So I was gifted a Barnett XP 400 and before I read the directions I started messing around with it cocking the string back with a hex socket because I did not have the handle. Anyways I got it about halfway cocked and now the hole for the socket is stripped out. How do I relieve the tension on this bow safely? Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/kreed320 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I am first generation hunter. Started two years ago with rifle but I want to expand my season so I’m looking into crossbows. Found a post that dissuaded me from buying a Killer Instinct, and someone mentioned this setup. Is this a good deal? If not, could you recommend a setup I can get into for $500 or less? Thanks in advance, I’m new to crossbows. submitted by /u/steven_kind94 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Question on string wear

I'm pretty new to crossbows. I've kept the rails oiled every 5 to 10 shots, but only after about 30 to 40 shots. My string is starting to look like the picture. Is that normal wear or excessive install wear? If it matters it is a Wickedridge Invader 400 submitted by /u/NotesViking [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

A neighbor of mine passed away and his family was putting some of his stuff outside for free and this was sitting in the pile. I don’t know anything about him, but he was definitely a maker of sorts. I can’t find anything on line about a design like this. submitted by /u/stopyield [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

New 3D printed pistol crossbow NO METAL SPRINGS

Wolf Pack A01 Full BUILD VIDEO https://youtu.be/OZOeln1XAqE This pistol crossbow is designed to be easy to print, assemble, and uses no metal springs! It is inspired by the Adderini and Bolthammer but is a completely new design. It can be printed on a small 3D printer like the Ender 3. The WP-A01 uses no metal springs. All springs are 3D printed compliant mechanisms. You only need M4 bolts, bow limb (80 lbs), and string to build this pistol crossbow. The WP-A01 is easy to print. I'm not an experienced 3D printer, so I had trouble printing other bows. The WP-A01 is more forgiving in 3D print a ..read more

Got a xpedition x430 on Macbids. Advice needed.

So purchased a “damaged” crossbow on MAC.BID in Pittsburgh PA for a reasonable price. It’s a Xpedition Archery X430 Realtree model. The description said it would need a new string, and it does. It’s barely been fired looking at the arrows and sturup. I’m assuming the owner fired it a few times and screwed something up. Then tried to “fix” it and screwed it up more. I was hoping nothing else was wrong. I ran a cotton ball on the limbs and nothing snagged. The original owner appeared to try and change the string by half drawing and jamming something in one of the cams. There are dings in th ..read more
