The first time leaving home after having a baby can seem pretty overwhelming. You want to make sure you’re prepared for anything, whilst also not knowing what to be prepared for exactly. Depending on the time of year leaving home for the first time can cause some anxiety, you could be worried; it’s too hot for baby, too cold for baby, worrying about all of the germs. You also might find yourself questioning what you need and if you’re forgetting anything; extra diapers, burp cloths, clothes, toys, the list goes on! Then you stop and think about yourself; spare clothes in case the baby spits ..read more

I first started looking up phone apps for moms when I was pregnant, when I had received my breast pump through my insurance it had a leaflet all about an app that tracked feeding and pumping sessions. I then started looking into other apps that I thought I’d find useful. Some apps I downloaded looked around and deleted. Some I had for a short amount of time as I’d forget to use it, so I didn’t need it. Then there were certain apps I’d find myself spending lots of time on when breastfeeding. Apps talking about what milestones we should be going into or with forums to talk to other mamas going t ..read more

Self-Care is important for everyone and as a new mom sometimes you may find that this takes a seat on the back burner. It’s always good to remember that you have to take care of yourself to take care of others. As a new mom, I was putting all my time into my family, there was feeding my baby girl, washing and changing her, playing with her, and all those new parental responsibilities. I also felt as if the house had to be clean, laundry done and meals made, I had so much I wanted to get done and there never seemed to be enough hours in the day. I was feeling stretched thin and that’s when I re ..read more

I regretted not having more maternity photos, I had never felt more beautiful and comfortable in my body as I did when I was pregnant and I came to realize this even more after and regret not having pictures to look back on. I regretted not having either taken more photos of my baby girl in the hospital/first 48 hours or getting a professional to do fresh 48 hour pictures. I think of myself as being quite competent with a camera and thought I would be able to capture pictures of my baby girl myself. I was exhausted and busy learning everything that came with being a new mother and dealing with ..read more

My current hair favorites that help me take care of my hair, style, and tame it. If you were to usually see me in my day to day as a SAHM you would see my hair thrown up in a bun. However, when I leave the house even if it’s just to go to the shop I’ll do my hair as this always makes me feel a little more put together. If I have the time my favorite way to style my hair is to curling it, tight curls, loose curls, and beach waves. If I don’t have time to curl my hair I will brush it out and straighten it, my natural hair is somewhere in the unknown between straight and curl that can’t be left u ..read more
