July 2021 Update
Sadly, Sunrise Bakery has decided to close the retail portion of its business. They will continue to provide their delicious bread to local restaurants. What is there to do in Icy Strait Point? When booking our Alaskan cruise, we booked solely on the week we were available to go and not the itinerary. When I saw Icy Strait Point on the schedule I didn’t know what to expect or what to do in port. But I found 8 amazing things to do in Icy Strait Point and I’m sharing them with you.
Alaskan Cruise Port – Icy Strait Point
Our first two stops in Ketchikan and Juneau included pricey tours and nothing in Icy Point Strait jumped out at me as a must-do, especially as the tours are on the higher end cost-wise. Have I mentioned that we ..read more

Looking for a San Diego food tour? So was I when I found out I would be in San Diego for business. One of my favorite things to do when I travel, food tours (like this one in Lisbon and this one in Naples) provide you with the chance to see the sites and enjoy great food. What’s not to love? But I quickly found out that all of the food tours in San Diego were only offered on the weekend. Or at times that did not work with my schedule. Enter TastePro’s self-guided walking food tours.

The Neptune Fort Myers Beach is one of my favorite hotels and one of the reasons I think Fort Myers Beach is the best beach in Florida. Fort Myers Beach hotels are old school. Hotels here are smaller or condo rentals rather than chain hotels. This is part of its charm and affords visitors the chance to get a more authentic experience. I’ve visited here at least five times and always stay at Neptune. Its location and value are some of the reasons I keep returning to this little beach paradise!

There are so many awesome places to eat in Fort Myers Beach! It’s one of the reasons I think it’s the best beach in Florida. And one of the reasons I keep coming back here and bringing new friends and family to this little slice of heaven on Florida’s Gulf Coast. One of the things I love most about Fort Myers Beach is that most of the restaurants are locally owned. There are a bunch of restaurants I keep planning on trying (I’m looking at you Eidelweiss Burger and Shucker’s) but I keep coming back to my tried and true favorites.
