Fatigue, All Day Nausea, & Spitting Pregnancy was a wild ride. The first trimester was a time of incredible discovery all while traveling the world. Last summer 2022, while pregnant, I traveled to Anchorage and Seward, Alaska, Porto, Portugal, and Paris, France. Having crazy cravings helped because I ate my way through those cities. But cravings were not the only symptom I experienced. I also had extreme nausea, taste changes, fatigue, and excess saliva. Prior to my own pregnancy, I understood morning sickness prior as nausea and vomiting in the just in the morning. However, what I experi ..read more

I’m 7 Weeks Pregnant???? Let me first start of by saying that I did not know that I was pregnant until week 7 of pregnancy. I had had a very busy travel summer kicking things off with a beautiful wedding in Maryland. I had the time of a my life indulging in West African culture at my friend Yinka’s wedding (who also happens to be thriving in this influencer space). I remember arriving late to her traditional wedding from CT and one of the issues having been getting my cycle on arrival to our hotel in Maryland. That my friend’s was June 3rd, 2022. Everything else that came after that, was cert ..read more

Baby Cunningham Coming March 2023! Photographed by Norman Oates My husband Taj and I are beyond thrilled to announce that we are expecting a baby coming March 2023! Our little bundle has already made a stake in my body and our lives; dictating how, when, and where we move. We are beyond lucky to have this opportunity to become parents to this bouncing baby girl! On this day, we were lucky enough to sit at home, get cute and have Norman of Norman Oates Photo LLC photograph our baby announcement. I had been putting off this announcement for several weeks not for any strange reason but truly ..read more

A luxurious Romantic Getaway steps from home Images by Abram Moore This year, Valentines Day looked just a bit different from the last few years since hubby and I have been married. Typically, we spend the day together and make something very memorable out of it. Sometimes, we opt for a staycation at a local hotel and take some time off of our usual life that can become so mundane. It helps us truly hone on each other in an intentional and intimate way. As lovely as that can be, this year hubby was away for work obligations so valentines day, was a solo festivity with some time spent video ch ..read more

Overall, my husband and I are so thankful to have each other, our families, our friends, and every single one of you in our lives (whether IRL or virtually). Home yoga with Curious Colour Fitness has never been a huge part of my life. I am not even going to lie to you guys. Growing up in Zimbabwe, I played every and any sport. Sports was built into the curriculum from grade 1. I specifically remember being taken to learn how to swim since I was 3 years old to be ready for swimming when I started school at 5 years old. In the middle of the school day, during certain seasons, we would go to the pool for swimming. In grade 6, I was lucky enough to be taught swimming by a former Olympian for South Africa who was now our school teacher. Obvi, I delight ..read more

NOTHIN’ BETTER THAN A SLIP DRESS… Shop the Post: We are fully into fall, but this year, I missed a whole month of the season due to traveling in Africa. I certainly have no regrets about it because nothing compares to being home. However, there is something absolutely glorious about fall in New England that really has captured my entire soul. I am glad to be able to still experience the wondrous colors of the trees, pumpkin lattes, and just so much more the season offers. In regards to style, fall can be an awkward time. Obviously, you have to switch up your color palette for richer and warme ..read more

Overcoming An overwhelming surplus of student loan debt Like so many other millennials, my husband and I have an overwhelming amount of student loan debt and neither one of us are a doctor or a lawyer. So many times, he and I feel suffocated by the thought of tackling our student loans; it’s like where do we start? One thing I am loving about this generation, is our candid nature in regards to discussing money. I spent the first part of my life living in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. When I was 11 years old, my family moved to United States as an economic migrants. The economic collapse that crippled Z ..read more
