Questions about where the real estate market will be this Fall have already started. As you know from previous conversations, nothing about the real estate market has been typical in the past couple of years. What we do know is that mortgage interest rates remain very low, that the extraordinary buyer demand brought on by the pandemic is being filled, and that houses are selling every single day. At the time this article was written, rates for a 30-year conventional loan were 2.8% for qualified buyers. We advise our clients to remember that home ownership is a fixed asset at a fixed rate, whic ..read more

One of the best compliments I have received over the years is that our team is a ‘Class Act”. It is with this thought that a vision began to form in my mind. How could we take the message of the Jennifer Harvey Team and everything we stand for and bring it into 2021? I knew that the image I wanted to project was: Classy, Experienced, Professional, and Real. After a fun photoshoot and the entire team's willingness to be a part of the creation, our new logo and look began to take shape. This has been a labor of love for me and for the team and we really hope you like the end result! Our team has ..read more

It's the time of year we begin preparations for holidays, often including wish-lists and holiday shopping. Like many parts of our lives, preparations will have a different feel this year. Black Friday shopping may be all virtual, but retailers will still provide appealing shopping deals. Is there a Black Friday sale for real estate? Not exactly. However, this year, mortgage interest rates are at a literal all-time low, giving you the opportunity to save money on your house payment and to perhaps afford more house than you expected. The market remains very active; there are fewer houses availab ..read more

The one question I am asked the most right now is "How is the real estate market?" The best answer is "That depends. Are you looking to buy or sell?" Our market is experiencing very low inventory in certain price points throughout the metro. If you are a buyer looking for a home under $400,000, then the market can a bit insane. We have about 7-10 buyers for every one house that becomes available. Many times, buyers end up competing with other buyers who have also written an offer to the same seller. To be truly competitive in these situations, we advise buyers to be pre-approved with a st ..read more

Soil Service Garden Center

So one day I got really lost in Brookside. While trying to operate a vehicle and a failing GPS I looked up and saw "Soil Service Garden Center." I was frustrated, tired of being lost and thought, "Well, might as well ask someone why my houseplant is dying."  Walking into the store I felt comparable to Eve walking into the Garden of Eden. To best explain how magical this store is, I will let pictures speak for me.  After 30 more pictures, a minor excited-freak out, and a Facetime call to my best friend, I was introduced to the owner's son, Mike. Mike told me that Soil Service is a fa ..read more
