0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Nanakuli Beach Park is on Oahu’s leeward coast. It is about 500 feet long and 125 feet wide, lying between two limestone points. The beach is mostly calm but can have high surf and strong currents, especially during the winter and spring. It has parking, restrooms, showers, and lifeguard amenities. It’s about a 10 minute drive from Koolina and Aulani. It’s west facing so you have a great view of the sunset.  You could do a morning shoot here but there is no shade so 6-7am would be ideal for a morning session.  It can get crow ..read more

Are you looking for a tropical jungle? This one is just minutes off the road and only 20 minute from Waikiki.  Lots of big banyan trees, tiny little watefalls, roots, bamboo and everything else a fan of the jungle would love. Pairs great with a bouquet of ginger and heliconia. Laie Point is a dramatic location on Oahu’s north side that is quite famous for it’s views.  It almost due east into the sunrise.  You have ocean on all three sides.  The sandstone cliffs are about 30 feet tall in the tallest areas. There are some places to cliff dive if you are into that.  When I was growing up in Laie I spent a lot of time jumping off the cliffs and swimming out to the islands just off the point. Now I come here to shoot landscape photos and couples.  There are a lot of great vantage points.  If you get married at Tiki moon Villas or Laie templ ..read more

Sherwoods beach in Waimanalo is a great place for a morning ceremony.  If you get there early enough you can have quite a bit of beach alone to yourself.  The turquoise of the water and white sand make you feel like you are stepping right into a post card from Hawaii. Shay and Thor were so fun to photograph.  You could really see the love in their eyes. Kahana bay is on the north east side of Oahu.  It’s about 50 minutes from Waikiki but well worth the drive.  It’s a perfect place for a honeymoon photo session, engagement session or even an elopement.  Minami and Pukana hiked to the top with me to get some cute couples shots.  It’s about 20 minutes hike right up the side of the mountain. They hiked up in exercise clothes and changed up at the top.  We started around 4 for some nice rays of afternoon light.  After 20 mins up a the ridge we went down to the bay to finish up the shoot in the water.  The dogs ..read more
