We are in a potent time of transformation on so many levels at once! As above, So below!
This chaotic, evolutionary time is as personal as it is social—cultural—political.
We are doing our individual inner work with an eye toward personal and collective healing, uplifting ourselves, dedicating ourselves to the well-being of all.
The times we are living in, divisive, destructive and increasingly polarized as they are, are patriarchy’s extreme old age — its dying years, and as Bette Davis famously said, “Old age ain’t no place for sissies”.
We are here, bearing witness & being part of th ..read more

As I write this the sun and the moon are both in the astrological sign of Cancer. One of the teachings this provides us is the reminder that nurturing and prioritizing taking good care of yourself is far from selfish. It is wise and health-promoting to care about your own well-being. It is also kind. Taking good care of yourself is far from selfish Like many others, I’ve been struggling to stay well under the smoky skies that have been so oppressive. The fires in Canada, like the other disasters going on around our beloved world are yet another wake up call for us to use our people power to ta ..read more

It's that magical time of year... Merry May! An invitation to Beltane Bliss! The flowering of our fertile earth encourages us to rejoice in our sensuality and sexuality, to blossom and have fun!! There is more to self-love than masturbation! I have nothing against that, though I personally prefer the term Self-pleasuring. Self-pleasuring can include that, and so much more! A few sexy infused oils that can enhance sensual pleasure, whether you are self-pleasuring or playing with your lover or lovers, are infused rose oil, infused black birch oil, and unrefined coconut oil. *Note: None of the ..read more

…An ode to the Healing Weeds! Healing weeds surround us everywhere. Whether we are in the city, suburbs or rural areas, wild food and medicines abound! Ask any gardener who tries to keep a pristine plot. Those pesky healers will show up amid the kale and broccoli, the lettuce and arugula, and among the planted roses and sunflowers, too. The weeds do not ask for permissionto show up and offer us their feral medicine! Thank goodness! Because once you learn about and experience the gifts of even one or two wild plants, many things begin to shift, starting with your ability to take care of yoursel ..read more

Let’s talk about Time Do you have time to listen to my story? It’s that gorgeous time of year when the cultural and religious holidays, Passover and Easter, occur. They respectively invite people to celebrate freedom and rebirth as families and friends gather together. Both holidays grew out of older Earth holidays, some of which are still celebrated today, such as Charshanbe Suri, the Persian/Iranian fire jumping festival that welcomes the spring season.
They coincide with the beginning of SPRING* on Earth (*in the northern hemisphere) as we can now take delight in the buds, flowers and the ..read more

May the Earth's Rebirth
inspire your own creative juiciness
as the Goddess Oestre
Awakens your life force,
Stirs your libido,
invites you to bliss. May your energy rise to dance with life
like sweet birch sap defying gravity
Rising up through the trees,
Emerging transformed as
buds, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds. Dig your roots down into the rich, wet earth
lift your light-filled branches to the sky
and Sing your unique song as only you can! Stand Your Ground
Root in Integrity
Rise In Love ..read more

Some years ago, the then current incarnation of my Clear Mountain Apprenticeship Circle gifted me with an exquisite buffalo skin drum that I was deeply honored to receive! A week or so later, the drum “taught me” (gave me/inspired/evoked) a sacred chant that I have sung with others many times in the years since.
Here are the words to the song:
The Goddess is rising
She’s rising, she’s rising
The Goddess is rising
She’s rising
She is She’s rising in you
She’s rising in me
She’s setting us free
How we’re meant to be The Goddess is rising
She’s rising, she’s rising
The Goddess is rising ..read more

If you like to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and for you it is simply a sweet reminder to openly state and show your love for the one(s) you adore, then good for you, Enjoy it!
If you are flying solo and happy to be in love with yourself and want to get yourself a Valentine’s gift or make yourself a special meal, then good for you, Enjoy it!
Valentine’s Day is the outgrowth of the older and arguably more fun pagan holiday called Lupercalia that was more openly about lust and sex. February comes from the Latin word “febris” or “fever”, and we aren’t talking about the flu, but about sexual fever, p ..read more

Ode to Fungi
— By Robin Rose Bennett
Mushrooms, like vultures,
(Who are also under-appreciated)
eat death and decay.
They thrive on it.
Fungi eat Death and feed Life.
They are connected under the ground, mostly hidden,
in a vast symbiotic web of bacteria, plants and soil
Interwoven.
We’re all invisibly woven together,
We breathe the same air, in and out through the millennia
We receive our breath from the plants and trees
who are nourished by the fungi.
When we eat and drink these mushrooms,
The ones that deepen and broaden our consciousness of connection,
The ones that strengthen and protect ..read more
