These two went through a whirlwind of pandemic craziness. Their plans had to change multiple times and they landed getting married at the Ventana Big Sur. With how beautiful their day turned out, you would never be able to believe that this was not their first option of a wedding celebration. Their celebration was much smaller than they had originally planned, but the day was such an intimate celebration with their family members and friends in attendance. “Samu” is our little 1986 Suzuki Samurai that we tow behind our 1973 GMC Motorhome. Fitted with a rear bench seat it allows a seat for our family of 5. It is the lightest and smallest 4wd/high clearance/off road vehicle we could find. This video below a short video showing the dramatic landscapes that Samu has taken us to ..read more

Wilderness // A Yosemite Backpacking Trip With My Son

In May 2018, I got to take the whole family to Yosemite for a week. In addition to shooting a wedding there, I really wanted to take my oldest son (7 years old) on a short backpacking trip and share my passion for the beauty of Yosemite. This hike was over 3,000 feet elevation gain so the littler ones couldn't come. The weather worked out perfect, although the temp dropped into the 30's, and we had such an amazing time.  ..read more

Not just for SINKS and DINKS

We are gearing up for a 5 week road trip on the US West Coast and Southwest with a stop over in Yosemite to shoot a wedding. Yes, we will have all three children. Long(er)term adventure travel is often left to the SINKS and DINKS (That is The Single Income No Kids and The Double Income No Kids). There seems to be an assumption that when you have children that adventure and travel was swapped with responsibility and diapers, but that is not the case. We leave in a couple of weeks and almost exactly 2 years ago is when we adventured New Zealand. I hope this video and future videos can serve as a ..read more

Story. Each person and couple have their own story. Likewise each photo and video should share their story. In this video you will be drawn into the story of Anne and Bryan. Join along for the next step in their journey to A&B. There were many elements that brought this story to life. During a pre-ceremony gift exchange, Anne provided a video for Bryan to watch and he was brought to tears as he watched video footage from the beginning parts of the journey. (These clips are seen as the black and white videos in this wedding film). Another element was a theme of "Journey to AB." Couple ..read more

Liz and Steven had a destination wedding at one of the most beautiful venues on the island of Oahu. Lanikuhonua is a beautiful spot tucked secretly into Ko Olina on the westside. The bride and groom got ready at the gorgeous, historic Moana Surfrider Hotel in Waikiki and then made their way to Lanikuhonua. (click to watch video below) Liz and Steven decided to have a first look at Lanikuhonua, with their bridal party eagerly looking on. Their bridal party was by far one of the most entertaining and fun that we've been around.  Golden string lights un ..read more
