So my tractor is the 2538 hst open station. The PTO lever is on the left side of the operator and is a simple on off lever. Currently it is stuck in the on position, so still able to operate the PTO with the switches on the dash. Has anyone had to replace the Alt cable to the bat. on a 2538 hst open station. My bat. gets low so no start. I checked the batt and it takes and holds the charge, and the alt is putting out as it should so that leaves the cable. It seems like a difficult change, but maybe just me. So I adjusted the brakes today to the lowest setting for max brakes, they work great, but tractor still wants to creep even with the brakes in the park mode. Is there any way to adjust the forward/reverse pedals externally? I do tap the reverse pedal and that does stop the creep for a bit and then it creeps again. The air is starting to be blue again. I know it’s been discussed before problem with these but I’ve got a 6530 that runs perfect for about 10-15 minutes until it gets to temperature and then at about 1500 rpm it’ll miss and blow lots of white/gray fuel smoke. I can turn it off a couple minutes and cool down some and it will run fine till it reaches the temperature again then start missing only at higher rpm. My tractor smokes for 10 to 15 minutes in cold weather until it warms up. I know the problem is in the cold start solenoid. My question is there are two lines that go to the cold start solenoid and two mounting bolts. If I remove the lines and the mounting bolts. Is there anything special I have to look for to remove the solenoid valve? I do have 12 V coming to the cold start solenoid. Is there a diesel going through the two small lines? Hello! First time tractor owner here with a 2017. I've only had it for about 3 months and have a random issue. In the 3 months I've owned it, 4-5 times it does what the title states, for about 2-3 minutes, after which it pulls out of it and rpm's return to normal.
