This morning, former U.S. Senator and Republican candidate for governor Kelly Ayotte officially filed to be on the ballot in this year’s race for governor.
While today’s filing makes it official, Ayotte has been locked in a messy primary against former state Senate President Chuck Morse for months, moving further to the right on a number of key issues and proving to Granite Staters exactly why she’s not fit to be our next governor.
Throughout her campaign, Ayotte has lied to voters about her dangerous track record and restrictive views on reproductive rights, including her suppor ..read more

On the second anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision to repeal Roe v. Wade, the New Hampshire Republican Party today held an election-year stunt where they tried to mislead voters and distance themselves from their extreme, well-documented, anti-choice agenda. In response, NHDP spokesperson Gates MacPherson released the following statement:
“No election year stunt or spin can change the indisputable fact that New Hampshire Republicans have used their majorities to vilify reproductive health care, propose draconian abortion bans, and kill legislation designed to safeguard abortion access ..read more

This year’s legislative session concluded last Thursday, and despite being in the minority, Democrats showed up in "bigger numbers" than Republicans and blocked "fundamental legs" of the NH GOP’s extreme and divisive agenda, which took "a big hit in the House" and ultimately "went down in flames."
House Democrats blocked Republican legislation that would remove local control from law enforcement, make the unaccountable and out-of-control school voucher program even more costly, and make it harder for Granite Staters to register to vote. House and Senate Democrats also successf ..read more

“Jonathan Stone lost his job as a Claremont police officer in 2006 after investigators said he threatened to go on a ‘postal’ shooting spree that included killing his police chief and raping the man’s wife.”
Yesterday, disgraced State Rep. Jon Stone, a favorite Trump surrogate and Kelly Ayotte endorser accused of threatening a shooting spree against law enforcement and having inappropriate relations with a teen girl, filed for reelection in New Hampshire despite calls from the Union Leader’s editorial board and Granite Staters to remove Stone from House committees.

Ayotte refuses to comment and still touts Stone’s support publicly
A new investigative report published by InDepthNH reveals that New Hampshire state Representative Jon Stone, an early supporter of Republican Kelly Ayotte’s campaign for governor, was fired from the Vermont Department of Corrections after allegedly “using racist, sexist, and homophobic insults, intimidating co-workers and making them fear his retaliation, and even getting a gay colleague to quit.”
According to transcripts from his grievance hearing, Stone allegedly “called a gay co-worker a ‘f****,’ called female co-workers ..read more

In Case You Missed It, a new report from the Granite Post details accusations of a systemic cover-up of abuse at the Sununu Youth Development Center during Kelly Ayotte's tenure as New Hampshire’s attorney general. The report features testimonies from fellow Republicans who allege that, despite hearing allegations of misconduct during her time as attorney general, Ayotte turned a blind eye to the ongoing abuse of minors, including incidents of rape and assault.
While Ayotte has claimed to have known nothing about the abuses while serving as attorney general, a 2010 report prepared by the Disa ..read more

New reporting from the HuffPost details Republican gubernatorial candidate Kelly Ayotte’s past role on the board of Bloom Energy Corp., a “scandal-plagued ‘green’ energy firm” which violated environmental regulations, produced misleading financial statements, and exaggerated the sustainability of its technology.
HuffPost notes that “contrary to myths about Bloom, our research indicates that Bloom’s technology is not sustainable, clean, green, or remotely profitable.” Investigative articles from Forbes and Axios respectively concluded that Bloom’s technology is “too dirty and too costly ..read more

Yesterday, Republican candidate for governor Kelly Ayotte was joined by anti-choice extremist and current U.S Senator Tom Cotton at a campaign event in Londonderry. While Cotton’s home state of Arkansas is over a thousand miles away, he and Ayotte share a common objective in their repeated efforts to roll back reproductive rights.
Similar to Ayotte, Cotton vehemently opposed Roe v. Wade and helped lead the push for it to be overturned. Cotton called the Dobbs decision a “great victory” and derided Roe, which nearly 2-in-3 Granite Staters opposed overturning, as a “tragic mistake.” His continu ..read more

Instead of focusing on the issues impacting the Granite State, Republican candidate for governor Kelly Ayotte has focused her campaign on Massachusetts, making the slogan “Don’t Mass Up NH” her rallying cry. But according to a recent article in The Union Leader, Ayotte’s campaign is being bankrolled by the Bay State.
Despite trashing the state relentlessly in public, behind closed doors Ayotte has cozied up to and heavily relied on big-dollar donors from Massachusetts, having raised over half a million from donors with Massachusetts addresses – more than any other candidate in New Hampshire’s ..read more

Ray Buckley, Chairman of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, released the following statement regarding the Supreme Court’s ruling that President Trump has absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for all official acts he took while in office:
“With today’s ruling, the Supreme Court has fundamentally undermined and altered the principles ingrained in our democracy. The President is not a king, an emperor, or a dictator. The President is an American, accountable to our laws and our norms, and this dystopian decision sets a terrible precedent that Donald Trump will not only benefit from, but ..read more
