His Mercy is New

If you read my last post, you will remember that I have been working very hard for the last 5-6 months on healing my nervous system & adrenals naturally. I will say from the start of this post, I am not menopausal yet, I am in the perimenopause stage. If you’re 40+ and female, I feel compelled to tell you to PLEASE read this book! (Honestly, it’s info I wish I had had before kids too! I was the “typical victim” of “traditional” female (lack of) medicine who was on birth control for bad periods (DON’T DO IT!!!) and metformin for pre-diabetes (change your diet) and only wish I had had all t ..read more

His Mercy is New

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve heard me talking about my sort of adrenal crash in my stories. I started having some very frustrating symptoms in the fall of 2023. I’ve also been sharing all the things I’m doing in a highlight on Instagram called Health 2023. You can watch all of that here (I think you can watch even if you don’t use Instagram.) But I also wanted to have all of this info in one place, so I created this blog post. I hope some of this info is helpful. I visited our Holistic Wellness Center here in Morristown, TN and have gone several times continuing to work on my health ..read more

31 Verses for the New Year
His Mercy is New
by Candace Crabtree
3M ago
Happy New Year, friends! I love a new year. A new month, a new week, a new day. A new year, a new morning means new mercies to me. The beautiful grace-filled thing is that His mercies truly are new every morning, every moment. If you’ve felt far from the Lord recently, I invite you to simply turn to Him. Confess that you don’t feel His nearness. Open His Word and just read a verse. Maybe this verse that I have planned for each day in January. Maybe you don’t feel far from the Lord but you’re not excited about the new year. Maybe 2023 was too much, too hard, and you’re having trouble moving on ..read more

Incline my heart to You
His Mercy is New
by Candace Crabtree

Help me to run to You, my strong tower; cause me to desire You above all else. Incline my heart to You, God. You are my strong tower, my refuge, my only hope and peace and joy. Help me to lay down my desires, my timetable, my plans, my perceived control, and run after You. I want Your desires to be mine. All to Jesus, I surrender, all to Him I freely give. I will ever love and trust Him, in His presence daily live. I’m running after You, Jesus. You alone make me dwell in safety. Your name is my strong tower and I speak your name over every piece of my life and offer it up to you. I surrender ..read more

New Perspective
His Mercy is New

A new perspective on my favorite passage in the Bible. Can we preach the gospel to our hearts like he did in Lamentations? Can we turn our thoughts around and remind our hearts of where our TRUE hope comes from??? I can tell you it takes practice. And more practice. And choosing the hope over and over again. And you work on it and you fail and you try again. But it’s so worth it to not be stuck in the old negative thoughts that leave you feeling despair and suck the life right out of you ..read more

Joy comes in the morning
His Mercy is New

Weeping may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5 The “night” may be a season, it may be our time here on earth. But we can be certain, walking by faith and not by sight, that joy will come. Sometimes that comes as moments of joy in the middle of grief. The call or text from a friend at just the right moment. Laughter. Your favorite song comes on the radio. A new plant. Your dog. But also it comes when we choose to fix our eyes on Jesus and remind ourselves that one day, some day He will wipe every tear from our eyes and we will spend eternity with Him ..read more

Because He Lives
His Mercy is New

And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. Hope was born on resurrection day. Real hope. Hope that lasts. Hope that doesn’t disappoint. Because of the resurrection, we can face tomorrow, no matter what it holds. The resurrection doesn’t take away the suffering we still face here on earth. The cross came before the resurrection. But the resurrection gives our Fridays and Saturdays a different ending. An empty tomb. Death to life. Beauty from ashes ..read more

For Your Glory
His Mercy is New

This week at choir camp I used this verse in one of our lessons. As the words were coming out of my mouth I felt a catch in my spirit. It’s as if the Lord was speaking these words over me Himself, right there, in that moment. But I was convicted as well. “Candace, you’re speaking these words of life over these kids but you don’t believe it for yourself.” If I’m honest it’s been a hard few months. So much working on myself like never before, seeking wisdom, outside counsel, praying & crying on my floor, giving up on myself ever getting it right. And this verse has taken on almost a new and ..read more

I will declare it again
His Mercy is New

This morning as I was praying the words to the third verse of It Is Well came to mind. My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, o my soul! I was praying and struggling through some sin & failure on my part and the Lord graciously allowed these words to just pop into my mind. How can we say, “it is well” when we are plagued with our own yuck and stuff and past and baggage?? Because our sin was nailed to the cross – not just in part – BUT THE WHOLE. Not just ones we deem ..read more
