Fishman Loudbox Performer flaking/peeling

I have an old loudbox from 2013 that has just been sitting in storage, so i decided to clean it up. Used contact spray to fix the static-crackling knobs but not sure how to fix the peeling of the polyester-like material they used on the outside. Is it possible for me to just peel all of it off and use it raw? Has anyone done this and know what it would look like? And if any has done so, are there any solutions/chemicals that i could use to help peel everything off effortlessly? Thanks in advance folks submitted by /u/panniyomthai [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi, I have previously made a post on a different account that I somehow accidentally deleted or got deleted by some other thing, but I will repost here. I am not super far into guitar (almost a year) but I'd say I'm pretty alright and am willing to put some of my money towards a new amp. I am a bedroom guitarist, and do not want an amp that is extremely loud but maybe one that has the ability to get moderately loud (for example, playing with a drum kit). Some of the tones I'd like to achieve from this amp are Jimmy page's tones with Led zeppelin, which is a huge chunk of what I play and some ..read more

TSI light red (Peavy)

I just picked up a used Peavy Classic 20 head today from GC. About 30 minutes or so into playing, I noticed that the TSI light was showing a red LED status. After consulting the manual, I followed the directions and powered down the amp for about a minute. That ended up resetting the TSI light to the green state. That being said, this is my first tube amp so I was wondering if this is normal or I should be concerned? I had the pre amp set pretty high (10 o'clock) for a few minutes. If this happens again is it symptomatic of something else wrong and should I consider returning the amp? Th ..read more

I’ve an option to buy either of these for around the same price. Which one would be more versatile or better choice? I’m a beginner and have been using Yamaha THR30ii so far. TIA View Poll submitted by /u/Ordinary-Heron [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Today I picked up a used Friedman Runt 20 combo and noticed both tubes are red plating. I couldn't see it in the store since the view port is difficult to see though. It's a cathode biased amp. Am I SOL on this? Should I take it to a tech or return it to Guitar Center? submitted by /u/The_Vettel [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

ill try to keep this as short as possible. just bought a carvin v3 100 watt amp. technically i traded for it so it didn't cost me anything. i have a tuner pedal, a distortion pedal, and a reverb pedal. i have a delay pedal on the way. the v3 has 3 channels. ive tested all cables. the guitar directly into the amp, all channels work. i am plugged in from my last pedal (reverb) directly into the input on the front of the amp. the pedal chain goes tuner>distortion>reverb (for now). through the pedals, it works, but when i click a pedal on, the sound is significantly lower and the distortion ..read more
