This recipe is super easy to make! In fact, my oldest daughter made this dish for our whole family the other night by herself so I remembered to snap a picture and share the recipe for you all on the blog.
I try not to make “dump” dishes often but for busy evenings, one dish meals are super helpful-especially those that you can cart to the field or arena.

This recipe is such a hit in our house and so easy to make! I LOVE finding delicious recipes we can use ground beef in since we have so much processed. It’s rich, comforting, and a recipe you can easily make swaps due to dietary issues. I use gluten free shells when I make this.

My daughters and I had a home school Christmas craft day last week and made some of these fun salt dough ornaments. They were so easy and a lot of fun for us to do together! The recipe is simple and we enjoyed making some traditional Christmas ornaments as well as some western. We also share this on our free Christmas Craft Printable Calendar for the Podcast.
You’ll love this because it’s easy, inexpensive, versatile, and custom to you! We had a lot of fun with all of the cookie cutters we had and took a quick trip to the craft store for some new paint colors.

When I was a little girl, my mom would wrap some of our gifts up in feed sacks and it’s one of those small, simple Christmas memories from my childhood that I remember.
Typically the sacks were brown and she’d deck them out with a cute western bow and gift tag. When she’d go for a load of horse feed or cubes, she’d have them give her some unfilled bags they hadn’t used yet for the feed they mixed there. I always loved it and thought it was such a clever way to wrap our gifts while also being a nod to our way of life.
I decided to bring that back this year and talked a little bit ..read more

Our family LOVES books and no matter how old my kids get, I’m still going to break out all of the picture books and read to them. I am drawn to stories that spark imagination and have beautiful illustrations. Christmas books always seem to be on another level when it comes to those things.
Every year I have a large stack of books near the tree that I let the girls choose from each night to read before bed. Some are books we’ve bought, others are from my childhood and even my moms.
These are just a few we have out but I’m going to share a link to a complete list of all of our favorite picture ..read more
