Enjoy this June meal plan with a printable calendar and easy, family-friendly recipes.
School’s out! Pool time! Summer has officially arrived – in my family anyway. Last summer, we had quite a few vacations – went “ALL IN” and got Season Passes to Adventure Land in Des Moines and had a blast. We also went on a cruise with extended family. If we have a theme this summer, it might be “schooling”. All 4 boys are going to a STEM Camp for 3 weeks (just 1/2 days). One boy is taking summer school the month of July. He’s also doing ..read more

Enjoy this May meal plan with a printable calendar and easy, family-friendly recipes.
Welcome to May! We’re in full Spring season over here. Last weekend, my 3 baseball-playing boys had 6 baseball games in 4 days. That’s not very much for some of you, but that’s a lot for us. It’s our busy season.
Which means that many a night my menu plan is “sandwiches” or “hot dogs at the ball field”. That’s just our reality. Might as well embrace it! Want a menu plan that’s even more simple than this one? AND includes a shopping list? Try this one: ‘Incredibly Easy 5-Ingredient Meal Plan and Cookbook’&nbs ..read more

Quick and easy chocolate oatmeal no-bake cookies with only six ingredients, and ready in 15 minutes? Yes please! These no-bake cookies were an absolute staple of my childhood, and I have fond memories of making them with my mom. However, with recent dietary changes in our house I was on the hunt for a way to make them slightly healthier. Turns out swapping refined sugar for real maple syrup was a quick and easy way to do so!
How to Make Chocolate Oatmeal No-Bake Cookies
To make these delicious, fudge-y cookies, you start off by melting 1/2 cup of butter in a medium saucepan. Once the butter ..read more

Enjoy this April meal plan with a printable calendar and easy, family-friendly recipes.
April showers bring May flowers! I’m hoping that’s true – cause I could use some flowers. It’s been a fairly mild winter, but I’m ready for warmer weather. I don’t like uber hot weather, but I enjoy a good Spring day. Experiencing all 4 seasons is definitely something that I appreciate about living in Nebraska.
April also ramps up birthday season. It starts in mid-March with my husband’s birthday, but then 2 of my sons have birthdays in April. And they’ve gotten to the age where we’ll have a kid’s birthday ..read more
