The baby shit you actually need

When I was pregnant with Carson I vividly remember being so excited about all of the baby things that were about to be filling our home. That excitement lasted all of 2 seconds, at which point I quickly became overwhelmed with the mass amount of options there were. Want a diaper pail? Great! Here’s 30 to choose from. Car seat? Even better, do you want an infant, convertible, or combination? Don’t even get me started on strollers. I’m fairly certain I visited the baby store to test drive that sucker 5x before actually deciding it was the one we want. I would spend hours upon hours, scouring re ..read more

Real talk: post partum anxiety

If you’ve been around here for a while, it’s no secret that I had crippling anxiety after having Carson. If you happen to be a new face around here, Hi! My name is Chelsie and I suffer from anxiety. ***Hiiiii Chelsie*** Let me back up a few years and start at the beginning. It was early 2018 and I was counting down the days until our first baby, Carson, would decide to make his appearance. We were getting everything ready for his arrival, and trying to prepare the best we could for the coming weeks and months. (a brief pause to LOL, because if you have kids you know that nothing can actually ..read more

The Covid pandemic has changed the lives of every single person in the world. The impact has been devastating for so many, however many will look back on 2020 as the year that their lives were changed for the better. I am one of those people, and dare I say I’m thankful for what Covid gave me? Now before you get your panties in a twist and come at me with torches for saying I’m thankful for Covid, let me explain. By no means am I thankful for the pain, sickness, and suffering that our world has dealt with. The loss of family, loss of jobs, and loss of normalcy was and continues to be awful. O ..read more

Let’s chat about one of my favorite past times – BRUNCH!! This time last year we started the family tradition of having themed brunches for a few of the bigger holidays. Carson is getting to the age where he gets excited for things like this, and I love nothing more than party planning and noshing on some brunch food [it’s literally my favorite type of food ;)]. This year we are actually heading to Aspen with my family for Easter, so I had written our Easter holiday brunch off…that is until Carson asked every day when we were having our Easter breakfast again?? We decided spur of the moment t ..read more

Real talk: lip injections

*This post was written 1 year ago, but thought it was fitting to share since I’ll be going in for more lip injections SOON!!* If you follow along with my daily shenanigans on Instagram, then it’s no surprise that I recently got lip fillers. Spoiler alert – it wasn’t the first time. I first got filler in my lips after Carson was born, because let’s be honest, I wasn’t feeling like my hottest self and wanted something to build up my confidence and make me feel better. Obviously my physical state at the time was well worth the little babe we have, but mama still wanted to look good – sue me. I’m ..read more

Hi friends! I don’t know about you, but being quarantined has motivated me to finally tackle our list of house projects that we haven’t had time to do before. We literally hadn’t done a damn thing to our Jack & Jill bathroom (other than let it pile up with random junk) prior to this little makeover. I’m still waiting on one piece to totally finish the actual bathroom part, but wanted to show you how we made over the sink area for CHEAP!! Take a look at how bleak this bathroom looked before we got started. Like I said, we hadn’t done anything. After scouring Pinterest and building out a m ..read more

Hello friends! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted on here, but to be honest, I wasn’t quite sure what to post with everything going on in the world right now. I have a couple of fun posts to share with you, but now didn’t feel like the right time. Instead, I want to start breaking down some of the DIY projects Will and I have been doing during the quarantine. I’m not one that does well just sitting and doing nothing (outside of work), so these projects have really helped to keep me sane! That and wine, lol…..ALL of the wine!! Let me preface this by saying I wouldn’t really consider Will ..read more

I rounded up some Easter basket ideas for kids below, suitable for kids of most ages! 1 // Melissa & Doug My First Sidewalk Chalk with Holders: Chalk is one of those things that is great for all ages, but the holders make it especially good for messy toddlers. Or my moms like me that hate the feeling of chalk on their skin 2 // Crayola Glitter Sidewalk Chalk: I can say I’m probably most excited to try these out. Glitter in your chalk?! Where was this when I was a kid?? 3 // The Magic Bunny Book: Carson absolutely loves to read, so we always try to get him a book as a gift 4 // Burt’s Bees ..read more

Real talk: boob jobs

When I brought the ole blog back, I told you guys I was going to be keeping shit real, raw, and honest. And today that realness means talking about boobs. If you’ve ever seen Varsity Blues, all I have in my head is the sex education scene where the teacher has them say “penis, penis, penis, vagina, vagina, vagina.” ha! I’ve you’ve never seen it, go watch it right now then return to this post. It’s a classic. Annnnd now that we’ve gotten that out of our system, let’s get down to the nitty gritty, shall we? Pre-boob job, there wasn’t a time I can remember feeling absolutely confident in my body ..read more

Carson’s Taco TWO-sday Birthday Fiesta

Man oh man do I love a good party. Throwing them, attending them, even just brainstorming for future ones! After Carson’s “Wild One” party, I swore that I wasn’t going to go all out for future birthdays…only for the first one because it’s “special”…special as in “Horray! We survived a year!! Well the jokes on me, because I just can’t help myself! Luckily, 90% of his fiesta decor came from Amazon (TG for Prime), 5% came from hobby lobby, and the remaining were items I already had. I love looking at other parties and blogs for inspiration or to take the ideas and make them my own, so I wanted to ..read more
