So I recently bought an 09 G8 GT (a dream car I've had since I was 15, now 31) now named Stacys Mom. Now I'm new to anything mechanic related besides the basics (oil change, tire change, and easy googles) I can post a picture if it will help BUT the simple of it is, he took out the hood scoops and put plastic covers that lead from the top of the scoop to halfway down the indention on the hood to the scoop (attempting a ram air idea). Recently purchased a family members G8 V6 from rotting, following a hail storm, rain damage and lack of use. Didn’t want to see it decline any longer! Pulled up to the gas station, wife and kids in tow. Noticed cockpit was a bit "smokey". Thought, "hmm, that's weird". Got out and saw a bunch of oil on the ground. I was hoping it was power steering or trans but nope. It's oil. Can't really tell where it's coming from yet, entire front of engine is covered In oil. AC belt is off so I'm assuming belt came off and rubbed through front cover. Waiting on a tow and wife and kids got an uber home. Good times ..read more

Had my Door handle break off in my hand today (Always a great feeling). I pulled the door panel off and fished out the broken pieces. Now i’m trying to hunt down a replacement. Most of the ones I can find are Primed in solid black or Chrome. I have the Panther Black but my handle is Chrome. I did manage to pop out the Painted black insert from the broken handle. So i'm driving along today... And I try to downshift as I am coming to a stop... But the car stays in D. (on the DIC) Called onstar to do a remote diagnosis, but there were no current codes or any stored codes (this sorta led me to believe it was mechanical instead of electrical, hopefully an easy fix!)
