Flying to Honolulu (HNL) International Airport Hawai’i has a “Safe travels” COVID pretravel testing program. I was able get through the airport quickly and avoided the 10 day quarantine. I used both CVS and Walgreens. Scroll to the bottom of the page for instructions. Lihue, Kauai (LIH) and Kahului, Maui (OGG), Kona (KOA) and Hilo (ITO), Big Island, also implemented the safe travels program. Check out the Hawaii.gov site news releases for the latest information. Aloha mai Kakou! When will Hawaii reopen? Hawaii state is currently under a mandatory 14 day quarantine for all arriving passengers from out of state. Individuals must serve a 14 day quarantine at a hotel or a residence. Violators can be fined up to $5000 and sent back to where they came from within 24 hours. Additionally, the quarantine cannot be served in an Airbnb rental but can only be served in a hotel or residence.
