Following my solo travels to Brazil, I have LOADS to tell you! This enormous country had been on my radar for years so I’m thrilled I finally visited. Around the size of Europe, with a different language from its neighbours, and a safety record that leaves a lot to be desired, I can see why [...]

I write this while feeling solo travel anxiety before my next big trip. Whether you’re travelling alone for the first time or the 100th (like me! I can’t count how many solo trips I have done by this point), the dreaded nerves kick in every time.
Even if you’re comfortable with solo travel, the nerves can come out anywhere especially if you’re taking a trip to somewhere culturally different, or a physical or mental challenge be it hiking or learning a new language.
I think it’s also generally the fear of the unknown. It’s hard to imagine a country you’ve never visited and people you’ve neve ..read more

So you’re thinking of travelling alone for the first time? I got you! It seems like only yesterday I departed on my first solo trip but, actually, it was in 2015 so almost a decade ago!

In this guide, I aim to reassure you and provide tips and insights from my 10 years of solo travel to help guide you along the way!

Are you planning a trip to Italy and wondering if Milan is worth visiting? Well, you’ve come to the right place!
In this post, I’ll walk you through the pros and cons of choosing Milan as your next destination so you can decide if it’s the best choice for your next holiday.
Unlike other widely loved cities in Northern Italy, Milan seems to be more divisive. While everyone agrees that the main attractions are stunning, it isn’t regarded as a ‘bucket list’ destination like Rome, Florence or Venice.

Since I live here, I decided a guide to solo travel in Mexico City was well overdue. Even though I know it’s a fantastic and safe destination for women travelling alone, it seems not everyone knows this.
I know this because of how many people ask me ‘How’s the safety there?’ or ‘Wait, is that safe?’ as their first response based on me telling them I live here. Honestly, it’s astounding how many people ask me this… Including men who aren’t even travelling alone! So given that they’re concerned, I can understand why women travelling alone to Mexico City need reassurance.

It’s absolutely doable so, if you’re fascinated by the idea of visiting this incredible country, don’t let being alone stop you!
