Hello guys,
I released a song with a 2d animated video and really want to shoot a live action music video/short film as sort an accompanying visual.
I am unsure of groups to search for who would have people interested in doing things like this, as I don't know many people in the space.
The song is 2.25, an alternative/experimental style, a weird combination of The National and Gorillaz (on Nightmare Mode) and really think it could be great music for a music video.
If you know anyone who would be interested let me know and I'll send the song on! Thanks!!

Just received an offer for film and broadcasting at TU Dublin and as happy as I am about that, I can't help but ask, is TU Dublin a reputable film school in Ireland? The one I normally hear about is IADT, So I'll like to know if TU-Dublin are just as good or at least a close second.

So I'm after finishing college and have been approached to work on a 20min short film. Originally they wanted the dialogue fixed up because it didn't sound right, but after watching it, it turns out the reason it doesn't sound good is because all the audio is location sound. So now it's looking like I'll have to do the ADR, as well as foley, editing, and mixing.
Given that I'm only starting off and it's my first freelance project, how much should I be looking to charge for all that work? Should I charge by the hour? Or give a flat rate? I don't want to overcharge either and risk losing this p ..read more

I was accepted for a film production course (I hope to cross over to IADT through the pathway option) and I'm so excited about finally getting the chance to chase after my dream. I do however have some questions about the reputation of the filmmaking program at BCFE.
Firstly, I'm in my mid-30's and I am kind of worried that I might be one of the oldest students in class and might have some problems associating with the younger students so, I'll like to know if BCFE has something like a union of mature students or social groups where we can all interact and assist each other with their project ..read more

Hello fellow film folks. I’m heading to Ireland in a few months from Canada on a working holiday visa and am interested in finding work in the film industry while I’m there. I have about six years of experience on set working in Canada in the props/sets department and am wondering if anyone has any tips or advice on breaking into the industry there. I know here in Canada it’s a lot of “who you know” and imagine it’s the same abroad. Any tips or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers!
