The Guest List – Forget Fancy Focus On Fun
Forget the air-kissing acquaintances. This is about your chosen family, the ones who understand your terrible sports puns and still love you after accidental drink spills. These are the friends who'll dissect plays like Shakespearean sc ..read more

The Table: Forks, Fun, & Family - It’s Dinner Time!
Forget white tablecloths and Michelin stars, my friends. My love affair with food starts at the heart of the home - the table. Growing up, dinner wasn't about gourmet meals; it was about mom and dad and four kids around that solid wood table, armed with mismatched cutlery and questionable table manners. Mom, bless her soul, would conjure up culinary magic with a repertoire of Midwest delights that got me through childhood. Meatloaf, hotdish, mountains of buttery mashed potatoes (carbs who?), and vegetables that I learned to love. Don't ge ..read more

Ah, the everyday. That morning cup of coffee, commutes, laundry piles, emails and kitchen cleaning that never ends. Thrilling stuff? Nope.
Most of us treat the average day the same, chugging it down just to get to the weekend. But I have an idea. I propose a radical act of rebellion: let's celebrate the ordinary. Let's find diamonds in the dust bunnies, symphonies in the hum of the fridge, and, yes, even joy in the parking lot gods smiling upon us.
Because here's the thing: life ain't a one-way ticket to Coachella. It's messy, sometimes boring and feels like a winding road trip to the same des ..read more

Let's be clear; I adore entertaining, not cooking. The magic of a great party, where friends and family come together, has always had a special place in my heart.

We are three days out. What do you find yourself doing this week?
Are you the “I can just print the picture from the website and put it in a card.” or the “Come on over and let’s sit by the tree with a cocktail.”
I have found myself in both places throughout the years. But this year I’m feeling pretty good. I pushed through and finished the shopping and have been sitting by the tree, holding my sweet Izzy D, and visiting with family.
I have to admit, I like this calmness. It’s given me the time to reflect on the last year and think about what’s next for Jane Fifteen Thirty. It’s b ..read more

Most people won’t admit this but I will– I love to entertain. A house full of friends, family, laughter and food just makes me happy. I just can’t think of a better way to spend a morning (brunch), an afternoon (tailgating) or an evening (dinner of course!) then with people. If I think about it, I believe this is where I get my love of housewares. There is something about the perfect glass that makes the cocktail taste that much better.
So this week I am suggesting you wrap up some holiday cheer for anyone you are spending time with this holiday season.
