This week, Jo speaks with Catherine Talbot of www.wedderburnhoney.com.au in Western Australia, who is also Education Manager at Bunbury Prison. Catherine helped Bunbury Prison to set up their apiary as part of their market garden program. We chat with Catherine about how she got started in beekeeping, her interesting range of honey products, and the process involved in setting up a social enterprise apiary - and the impact it has had on inmates there.

We've all heard the stories about sudden and serious reactions to bee stings, even in people who have been bee keeping for a while who've had stings with no previous life threatening response. In this episode, we get to hear two first hand experiences of anaphylactic reaction to bee stings, and subsequent bee venom immununotherapy, from two Aussie women beekeepers - Jo McDonald and Kerry Caligiore.
