Welcome to A Woman’s Brew, where women talk about beer!
We are joined by the wonderful Alix from Gritchie Brewing Co – that’s the brewery owned by Guy Richie if you didn’t know!
Alix has had a varied brewing career and talks us through the role of cellar manager, one of her previous jobs, and the day to day of a head brewer. Her background is in chemistry and we discuss women and STEM subjects and how you don’t equate science leading to jobs in beer – it’s actually vital!
If you want to see the gorgeous branding of the Gritchie beers, and possibly the prettiest ..read more

Welcome to A Woman’s Brew, where women talk about beer!
This week we chat to Ben from 360° Brewing Co. Did you know that they are 10 years old?! We sure didn’t! As a brewery that produces both traditional and craft styles we discuss how they choose what to brew and the sense of place that 360 puts into their beers.
Ben and Tori share a love for punny and interesting beer names, while we are both excited by the work 360 do with a local campsite to keep the camper’s thirst at bay. We might have to plan a visit ourselves! We applaud the collaboration between ..read more

We had the pleasure to chat to Jules from Hop Hideout about their 9th birthday beer, brewed in collaboration with Wild Card and Crafty Beer Girls. We also get to taste the beer which is a chocolate, maple and pecan flapjack inspired stout (spoiler – it’s delicious!). Jules tells us what it’s like to run an independent beer business and create your own beer festival.
We’re also joined by Natasha from Craft Beer Girls and we chat about the process of creating a collaboration beer and creating our own communities in craft beer.

Welcome to A Woman’s Brew, where women talk about beer!
Everyone loves a box of chocolates at Christmas, and certain brands in the UK have become synonymous with the festive period. Vocation have run with this idea with their ‘Vocations’ stout box. We loved this, so had to try all of them and let you know what we thought. We also compare the beers to the chocolates they emulate – it would be rude not to.
Not only does this episode spark conversations about holiday traditions, it also highlights differences between the UK and the US and we hadn’t even thought about! Listen now to find out which ..read more

In case you missed it – we love Wilderness! We’ve been lucky enough to chat to James and Helen again, this time about their new ‘not core range’ Rise/Fall.
We find out how a brewery in Wales that makes mostly farmhouse ales (which are delicious!) develops a core range to fit their style. We also talk about the branding of the Rise/Fall beers with Sophie Potter, their new tshirts and frogs in cowboy hats!
Head over to Wilderness’ website to grab their beautiful beers (and a tshirt!) here:

Welcome to A Woman’s Brew, where women talk about beer!
We are back making a Brave Noise, this time with Fierce Beer!
We chat to Kirsty from Fierce about their version of the beer and why they took part in the initiative. Kirsty comes from a background working in beer bars and has a lot of insight around what it’s like for bar staff in the beer industry. Fierce donated their portion of Brave Noise profits to the Drinks Trust to support workers in the hospitality industry. It’s good to remember that the issues raised by the Brave Noise initiative and those like it affect not just those working ..read more
