I’ve got some amazing daughters-in-law, or daughters-in-love as I like to affectionately call them. I often think they are my reward for putting up with their husbands (my sons). As the mother of all boys plus an amazing stepdaughter, I needed some girls in my life. Each one of my daughters-in-law is unique in their own way, and it has been so fun to get to know every one of them. I truly do love each of them and love ..read more

I attended a funeral a few weeks ago, paying respect to a good man. I went to the funeral because I had worked with this man for a decade and had mad respect for who he was as a man, a husband, a father, and a pastor. The last time I saw him was at my Dad’s funeral, and he was so sweet in sharing sentiments about my dad with me. A few weeks before his passing, a friend of mine ..read more

I love a good sunrise surprise. When my husband and I moved into our home almost 14 years ago, I woke him up early after our first night in the house and told him to come quickly to the living room. He came quickly thinking there was a problem and when he came to the French doors that opened to the backyard, I said, “Look at that amazing sunrise.” He agreed it was beautiful. We love to watch the sunrise when we visit the beach, and I have seen a beautiful sunrise at the Grand Canyon… Whoa, talk about a breathtaking scene!
