Last night we had a chance to check out the new Harry Potter Exhibition at the Franklin Institute. My daughters loved this exhibit so much, and they were asking if we could go again this weekend. If you have been wondering if it is worth the trip for your family, I have a full detailed review below. Is the Harry Potter Exhibit at the Franklin Institute worth it? Short answer, it depends on your group's love of Harry Potter. My oldest just finished the second book and has seen all of the movies. She is a huge Harry Potter fan with her room fully decorated in Harry Potter and her future birthday ..read more

Visiting Hershey Park with Kids Under Five

We were hosted by Hershey Park and received accommodations at Hershey Lodge. All of the opinions are my own. There is plenty to do at Hershey with older kids and thrill-seekers. They have 15 roller coasters, and they are building another one which will be the longest and fastest in America! With kids under five, we found plenty to enjoy. Our kids loved the park and loved the resort too. We stayed overnight for one night and made the most of our two days, especially since we stayed at the Hershey Lodge (more on that in a bit). My daughter's reaction to me saying we can get "one thing." This wee ..read more

Asheville, North Carolina was the location that inspired us to turn our road trip dreams into a reality.  There is so much food, so many things to do, and we couldn’t wait to get out and explore everything this awesome city nestled in the mountains. Visiting Asheville with kids can be a little daunting since so much of Asheville is geared towards adults, but Asheville is great for families too. Visiting Asheville with kids was a blast, and we can't wait to go back. Where We Stayed We stayed for three nights at the Crowne Royal Plaza in West Asheville and, man, was this hotel cool.  T ..read more

Is there anything more idyllic and bucket-listy than a road trip? I recently posted a few pictures from our road trip last summer which was a two week, six states, road trip with a four-year-old and one-year-old.  A question I was asked a lot through Instagram direct message was “How did we plan our road trip?” and “Where did you start?” Of course, that was followed by many people asking how we managed two weeks on the road with the little ones.  Admittedly, planning a road trip can be daunting, but it is easy once you get started. Below you’ll see how we planned our road trip, and m ..read more

This section is meant to share resources for beginner food bloggers as we work to grow and share Dwardcooks' recipes. Dwardcooks started with a trickle of recipes during 2017, and toward the end of 2018, Ed really started to pick up steam both with the WW program and with his own recipe creation. His main venue for sharing recipes was his Instagram account @dwardcooks, and as his followers grew, so did the demand for a clean, organized online home for his recipes. This is where I came in Growing up, my parents owned a small, local printing company. I grew up in the back offices of their little ..read more

Welcome to our list of Top 10 WW Items at Trader Joe's. This list highlights recipe components and some snack foods - things that we can't live without. I am blessed.  I have not one, not two, but three Trader Joe's in driving distance.  I see people post all the time on Facebook and Instagram about having to drive hours sometimes to their closest Trader Joe's.  Some poor souls don't even have one close by.  Some, even live in Canada, where sadly there is no Trader Joe's at all.  A moment of silence for those who don't have Trader Joe's in their lives. I love the place ..read more
