The Colorado Brewers Guild hosts Collaboration Fest on Saturday, March 25, from 2 to 6 p.m. at The Westin Westminster to bring 175 participating breweries together with over 125 unique beers to sample. We look forward to this one-of-a-kind event each year that pairs CBG member breweries with other beer establishments from far and wide, to present some of the most original brewskis you’ve tasted in a hot minute.
In addition to celebrating the camaraderie of craft beer, Collab Fest is notorious for funky, experimental styles and capitalizing on up and coming beer trends. We’re seeing a big ..read more

As the NFL playoffs wrapped and it was decided that the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles were slated for Super Bowl LVII, we found ourselves tickled– red and green–just like we like our enchiladas.
As graphics representing the team’s contrasting holiday colors began popping up everywhere, we became giddy over the Christmas-style foodie coincidence. This serendipitous and savory setup lets us draw upon the celebrated New Mexican tradition combining red and green chile to demonstrate the best divorced situation anyone can hope for. Since we’re big fans of 505 Southwestern, we snap ..read more

With the holiday noise nipping at our heels, it’s the right moment to gift yourself a little sumpin’ sumpin’ and “this is the perfect drink to cozy up with next to a Pear & Clove candle on a chilly day ..read more

There are few things in this world that we adore more than peeping through the window of our oven to see beautiful loaves of freshly baked banana bread browning up before our very eyes. The only thing that could make it any sweeter is the seasonal incorporation of pumpkin. So you best believe that we are clapping our feet over this killer recipe from Oh Sweet Basil that’s perfect to ring in these brisk October mornings.
We are big fans of this super soft pumpkin banana bread with chocolate chips (we opt for dark chocolate) that, “smells like fall the minute you stick it in the oven!”

The idea that “two heads are better than one,” is a widely accepted thought, but is only a slice of the quote by C.S. Lewis: “Two heads are better than one, not because either is infallible, but because they are unlikely to go wrong in the same direction.”
Although we feel confident in Colorado’s craft brewers on a singular level, we find ourselves truly falling for beers that are made in conjunction with other equally awesome breweries. We began discovering the joy in joint ventures at our first Collaboration Fest in 2018, and since then have had the opportunity to contribute to a handful of ..read more

Tepex, the wildly popular food truck in Colorado Springs, and brainchild of chef proprietor Fernando Trancoso, is revered for it’s contemporary central Mexican cuisine. Immediately following our first bite of birria, we fully grasped that his food harnesses an alluring nuance, much like eating something you’re grandma made specifically with you in mind, and we hastily leapt onto the well-deserved hype train. As we have spent more time with Trancoso, we find ourselves taking away a special nugget of edible appreciation after every conversation as he openly shares his gratifying culinary experie ..read more
