As we celebrate the joy of the Christmas season, let’s rewind the clock to a Christmas Eve 40 years ago. It was around 6 pm when I took a heartfelt leap of faith that would change our lives forever.

Vanilla Pudding Pie Difficulty: Easy

Jordyn and Jennifer love making this pie, especially as a summer treat with fresh fruit!
Ingredients
1 box of vanilla pudding
1 cup of milk
8 oz tub of cool whip
1 pie crust (boxed)
Fresh raspberries (or fruit of your choice!)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°.
Put the vanilla pudding in a small mixing bowl then add the milk.
Once combined, add the cool whip, mix together, then put mixture in the refrigerator.

The recent “documentary” that talks about our family is sad because in it we see the media and those with ill intentions hurting people we love. Like other families, ours too has experienced the joys and heartbreaks of life, just in a very public format. This “documentary” paints so much and so many in a derogatory and sensationalized way because sadly that’s the direction of entertainment these days.

Jalapeno Ranch Dip Difficulty: Easy
One of our favorites as a dip, or to drizzle on tacos or anything that needs just the right amount of “zip”!
Ingredients
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
5 tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix
1/2 cup pickled jalapeno peppers
1/2 cup fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
Directions
Wash and dry the cilantro. Use only the tops of cilantro, discarding the majority of the cilantro stems. Chop cilantro into coarse pieces.
