We purchased tickets for the Sunday night, 11:00-11:30PM time slot. I did not tell my kids where were going. Instead, they did their bedtime routine and instead of going to sleep, they stayed up and played Spot It, until 10PM. We loaded up the car (with a very soundly sleeping baby in tow) and headed off to Aloha Stadium to kick off the holiday season. During this pandemic, we’ve been home, adhering to public guidelines, since April. We’ve been exercising, we’ve been gardening, we’ve been homeschooling, we’ve been chillin’- HARD! Not gonna lie, I’m loving how spacious and uncrowded this island has been during this pandemic. I’m going to miss it :). The traffic isn’t horrible in Town, lines aren’t long, and stores are finally embracing curbside pickup options! My little ohana has been practicing social distancing for months now and have hardly ventured outside of our homes much, to do our part in keeping the numbers down. We recently visited the gorgeous Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden as a part of our homeschool project to create nature books. My girls were armed with boots for muddy terrain and iPads for capturing their nature finds. We had a fun time exploring the grounds and even had some friends join us. If you’re visiting Hawaii with kids and are in search of a great spot to enjoy nature, I highly recommend this place. This past March, we took the entire family to Europe for about two weeks. I still haven’t shared our full experience or photos from the trip because,  I was in my first trimester of pregnancy with our fourth child and I was either sleeping or throwing up the entire time. My three girls took part in a keiki business showcase hosted by Impact Hub Honolulu, a beautiful co-working space located in Kakaako right across the street from the Queen Street Whole Foods. They worked hard on their business idea for an entire week and I’m so proud of their work ethic and sales skills! They were really good at sales!
