Kelvin Kiptum - Honouring the Marathon World Record Holder

Kelvin Kiptum, the current marathon world record holder, unfortunately passed away on Sunday 11th February in a car accident alongside his coach Gervais Hakizimana.  Kelvin had a short but exciting career in marathon running, where he debuted with the fastest marathon debut of all time. He ran the fastest marathon in history at Chicago and was on track to being the first person to run under 2 hours for the marthon in a certified race.  As the news broke we wanted to dedicate an episode to his legacy and show the impact he's had on the running world in such a small space of time.
