James and I were very fortunate enough to spend 5 days at the world class sports and health resort Thanyapura in Phuket a few weeks ago.
We planned our diaries so we could work a ‘peak’ week into our training calendar to make the most of the facilities and use the resort to its full potential.
In this episode we give you a low down of what its like to be surrounded by elite athletes & lots of Olympic ring tattoos, what our training week looked like and what sessions we ran and the classes we did and how we found the overall experience of our first camp. In this weeks episode the coaches discuss their experience of their half marathon in Thailand.
The race took place in Khon Kaen and was the big 'race' of this trip. We discuss our preparations leading up to the race, how the race unfolded and where it puts us at this stage of the season.
We were so thrilled to be close to half marathon PBs again and being only in January sets us up well for the rest of 2023.
Find out how we prepared for a 4am race start, what it was like running in the dark and how we managed to get so close to PBs again.

At the start of 2023, James and I decided to begin travelling other areas of the world to explore what other running cultures have to offer and also to search for some warmer climates to train in.
Our first stop is Thailand and we've been here now for just over a week. We wanted to share our experiences of Bangkok and Chiang Mai, running routes, our first race experience and what we've learnt so far.
