My front fork INNER measurement, from the top inner surface, at the arch, to the centre of where the axel sits....is 12 inches. The inner fork Width is 4.75 inches. The Dia-Comp BRS 200 single pivot brake, without pads, is 59 mm Max and 39 mm Min. The verticle distance from the brake attachment bolt centre, to the middle of the pads (middle of wheel rim) is 1.75 inches. What sizes of wheel might fit here? Thanks ..read more

An extinct wheel?

I'm posting in BMX because that seems to be the area I have to address to solve my problem. I purchased a used handcycle without its front wheel, ...the drive wheel. The price was amazing so I thought I could handle getting a new front wheel. The setup is the same as an ordinary bike...chain from crankset to derailleur to front wheel gears. The bike I have is an Invacare 'Top End' XLT. (I believe Invacare and Top End have parted ways recently.) I assumed that a duplicate of the rear wheels would go on the front. I could be wrong. The wheels are 20" diameter but very thin..(0.5 inches wide) Th ..read more

Hey. My son has been asking for BMX for quite some time and it is time for me to deliver. There is possibility that he will get into doing tricks or jumps in the near future. He watches those pro videos often. I have never owned a BMX and have no knowledge about them, which has led me here. Anyone here knows what are the most important bike parts to look at when buying BMx? Explaining that in other words, what should I pay attention to when choosing one? Wheels and hubs should be durable and strong, right? Anything else ..read more

Good day. I was meditating and randomly thought about guys like me (in 30s, but this is directed towards everyone) who own BMX bike(s). What do you do with it? Do you commute to work and school or just cruise around the city? Maybe some tricks in the skatepark or backyard dirt jumps? Sometimes I go for a pleasure ride around the neighbourhood, but nothing cray cray. Should not injure myself doing those sick backflips. Might be a funny question, idk ..read more
