I realized that when it comes to how we should act toward God, and toward the other people in our lives, us humans could learn a thing or two from the Humble dog. Previous Natural Wisdom post Hello Readers, hope all’s well. I know it’s been a long time, a few months actually, since I last posted. For that I’m sorry, although that was the way it had to be. I wasn’t in a situation to be able to make these posts, not even one post a week. I’ve been trying recently to get back to my writing. My progress ..read more

If we get free from danger, free from addiction (etc.), we have to fly away. If we keep going back to it, even for a moment or a glimpse or a taste, we will fall back into the water, fall back into the danger. Previous Natural Wisdom post Hello Readers, hope all’s well. If you missed the latest post on my blog (the update post), I am now doing posts once a week instead of three times per week. I hope that with this new schedule, more Readers will digest a higher percentage of my posts. If I’m able to ..read more

Major Blog Update

Hello Readers, hope all’s well. Major blog update: Starting next week, and continuing for the foreseeable future, my blog will now feature one post per week rather than the three posts-per-week I’ve done for the last two years. There will be one post a week, on Friday, at the usual time. It’s hard to keep up with a three posts-per-week pace of content. I think the pace at which I come up with ideas lends itself to one post per week; that’s about how fast I can come up with new topics. Besides that, I just need to focus more ..read more

Hello Readers, hope all’s well. I’m sorry to tell you that there will be no post today. The reason is that I’m temporarily out of ideas for what to write about. It happens. When I look at my blog stats, I can see that my most popular posts are the Do Not Fear the End Times posts and the Christian book reviews I write for The Christian Book Corner. These are my two popular series. I’m Grateful for the interest in these posts. Logic dictates that I should write posts in those two series. But the thing is, I’m not ..read more

God has so many good plans for our lives. He would never want us to use a substance that kills our ambition, and makes us OK with spending our days being high while we make no progress toward higher goals. Goals that will actually move us forward in life to new levels. Hello Readers, hope all’s well. Time for another #shorts post. Last year I wrote a post about the Spiritual dangers (and other dangers) surrounding alcohol. The post was called Alcohol: A Gateway to Sin and you can check it out with the link. In that post I said ..read more

Just like those failed broccoli plants, if we try to get a dream or Blessing before God says it’s ready, it doesn’t come out right. It pops up fragile, undeveloped, less fruitful, and ultimately unusable. Previous Natural Wisdom post Hello Readers, hope all’s well. Time for another post in my new series, Natural Wisdom. This is a series where I write about some of the lessons God has taught me, through nature. God teaches us so much through nature if we’re willing to watch and listen to see and hear the Wisdom. And one of the best ways to gain ..read more

Once we make a mistake, we have to live and deal with our new reality of having made that mistake. If damage control is possible we must do that. But if there’s nothing we can do to repair what we damaged, we need to accept that, move on, and do our very best not to make that same mistake again. What else can we do at that point?? Natural Wisdom Part 5: It’s all in the Finish

The thing to understand is we need to pace ourselves properly, so we can endure to the end of our task. What good does it do us if we start a project, and go fast for awhile, but don’t have the energy to finish because we burn out?? Making it to the End is more important than speed. So if a baby-step pace is what we need to do, it’s better to go that pace and finish than it is to go quick and quit halfway. Previous Natural Wisdom post Hello Readers, hope all’s well. To shake the brain fog, shake the indecision, the paralysis … we’ve got to jump into something and get started. Jump right into the nearest task or job at hand and start doing. Sounds obvious to the point of being stupid. But actually, many people (including myself at times) have a horrible time getting started on something. How about you??
