She has gone into limp mode, I have replaced the intercooler hose it looked a right mess with oil but no splits in the hoses, I've also checked the other hose from turbo and that seems okay, so I left guessing the next step. I have a million fault codes that have come up on the gap tool (I'm guessing that a low battery might be the cause of most of them) . Sorry guys, this seems such an obvious question and I'm probably having a "man look" (whatever that is)... I was messing with electrics yesterday and blew a fuse somewhere... Just not sure which! So as far as I can see, everything seems to be working except the backlight for the speedo / rev counter and the fog lights. I've changed fog lights fuse but hasn't fixed it. The dashboard battery light is on when engine running and heated seats not working. Battery is reading 12.6 engine off and 13.6 engine on. I have read previous threads where it indicates problem is potentially the blue wire. How can I simply check if it is the blue wire and how can I easily fix (I have seen the videos on how to replace alternator and hoping fixing blue wire is far less work)? Hi all. FL was idling and then stopped. I turned her over, was turning over fine but wouldn't start. AA man found shredded alternator belt and pulled it out but he couldn't understand why it wouldn't start. He suggested that perhaps the belt had got entwined with the cam belt in some way and affected the timing? It's in the garage but am curious as to any thoughts why it won't start after the alternator belt has gone? AA man said it is turning over plenty quick enough to start ..read more
