Doesn’t sound like a rod knock and seems to be most prevalent on top near the fuel rail. Increase a bit during acceleration. Any ideas what this might be. Not even sure when. It started or how long it’s been there but paranoid about any noise. Any opinions appreciated.

Getting closer to being able to install an oil pressure gauge. Couldn't find a 1/2" 20 UNF banjo bolt but I had a 12 mm x 1.25 banjo bolt and the local hardware store had 1/2" 20 UNF nuts and bolts ..read more

I have replaced my front axle seal on my 2004 Discovery 2 two times and it still leaks. I tried OEM LR and NAK seals and both of them leak. I noticed when I put the second seal in that the axle alignment was not centred, the seal I took out was in good condition. I am wandering if it is just an axle adjustment issue. Is there a specific procedure on centering the axle within the seal so it does not leak. The owner prior to me had replaced the lower ball joint and I am wandering if...

Hi, all. First time here. I have a 2019 Disco HSE with ~ 85,000 miles.
Recently there is a loud metallic clicking when the vehicle first takes off, either forward or reverse. The sound seems to originate from the driver side rear. As the car gains speed the clicking becomes less noticeable and then goes away. I took it to a third party shop, that have been reputable with my vehicles in the past, and they weren't sure if it was the tires, brakes, or axle. The brakes needed to be...

I'm preparing to move my coil pack to where it is accessible when I open the hood. While I'm doing this I'm planning on doing so well needed maintenance on my fuel injectors (2000 Disco 2 w/ 145k miles). Does anyone have know the torque specs off the top of their head for the intake manifold when I go to replace it? I know to start in the middle and work my way out but can't seem to find those specs unless they're called something else in the Rave manual. Thanks ..read more

97 D90 with the 4.0L - 127K miles
she is still new to me as I have not been able to much over the winter. It is a texas car that sat for a long time, had some field mice living under the hood and PO did get it fixed and running but there where still wires that needed to be repaired. I mention this because I am 90% sure I got them all, but that may factor into my issues.
Has the following OBD codes -
Cat bank 1 sensor 1 - over the range
P1316 = Misfire excessive emissions fault
P0300...

Ok I am at a bit of a loss. My blower fan only operates on high on my 03 discovery. I replaced the resistor module with a new one from Rock auto, didn't fix it. I ordered a new resistor that I read could fix the old one, soldered it in and it did not fix it. I had a spare head unit I swapped in, that did not fix it. I also installed a new fan motor just because.. Any ideas what else it could be ..read more
