Today we wanted to take some time to talk about the benefits of preserving your wedding video onto a USB drive. When we first think of watching a family video we usually think of VHS tapes. Since VHS tapes are no longer used, many people have transferred their videos to DVDs and then Blu-ray. While DVDs and Blu-rays are easy to watch, they tend to get scratched over time and can easily break. USB drives are a lot safer and more dependable for storing your wedding video. USBs are compact and can be inserted into most devices. This allows you to transfer your video onto your computer and hard dr ..read more

Today we will be talking about the importance of timelines! Following a timeline is an essential part in ensuring couples receive a spectacular wedding video. The timeline maps out all of the exciting events like applying makeup, stepping into the dress, the first look, and more. Straying from the timeline can alter the rest of the day and the amount of footage we are able to shoot. For each wedding we meet with the couple two months prior to the day to discuss the timeline and what they want included. Recently we have had some challenges sticking to the timeline when makeup artists have not s ..read more

We want to acknowledge Pride month this June in honor of all same sex couples! We’ve had the pleasure of filming a few same sex weddings this past year, and we want to share them with you all again in honor of pride month. During our details appointment with our future brides or grooms, we go through how the day is run and what they’d like us to film specifically, since their day may run differently from a “traditional” wedding, such as two bride preps as opposed to one. And let’s be real- two brides leads to more stunning content!
We absolutely loved working with each of these couples ..read more

If you haven't seen the video to your left before, you may want to grab the tissues. This post is just another one to encourage your decision on why you need the video- not just the pictures. They say a picture is worth a thousand words; but you don't need to imagine those words when you can relive the actual ones.
This video was not done by Mike Picard Motion Pictures, but we chose it because it is a very meaningful one that could not have been shared in the way it has been with photos alone. This very endearing moment shared between this bride and groom is certainly something they wan ..read more
