3 Essentials of Christian parenting in today’s culture is understanding that training our children in the way they should go doesn’t mean that our children will be exempt from the hardships of the world. The current climate in the culture has been preying on our children and has been making it quite difficult not to be concerned or anxious about our children’s safety and well-being.
We are called as Christian parents not to be anxious about anything, but in every parenting situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present our requests to God so that the peace of God that surpass ..read more

Easy 30-minute Coconut Curry Shrimp is the result of watching too many episodes of The Pioneer Woman on Food Network. Our family loves cooking and exploring new recipes to enjoy together. Our taste buds love to travel to various yummy places, near and far. Africa Homeschool Series with Benin teaches that the most democratic nation in Africa, Benin, was formerly known as Dahomey. Benin is named after the body of water on which it lies – the ‘Bight of Benin’. Benin is a narrow, key-shaped, north-south strip of land situated in West Africa; it is bordered by Togo to the west, Nigeria to the east, Burkina Faso to the north-west, and Niger to the north-east. The majority of its population lives on the small southern coastline of the Bight of Benin, part of the Gulf of Guinea in the northernmost tropic ..read more

I pray that Mother’s Day was good to you and you took time to recharge and celebrate with you in mind! The past few weeks have been so busy and non stop that I notice that my “Me Tank” was at an all time low. I was so busy doing that I had forgotten to just be. I became tired and stressed physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
My moment of clarity came while listening to the podcast “Just Keep Blogging” by Kim Anderson. The episode I was listening to was titled “Beating Blogging Overwhelm” and one statement that stuck with me in the episode was when Kim Anderson ..read more

How to love myself and not lose myself in motherhood is my current state of mind as I am learning to be fearless in the pursuit of what sets my soul on fire. A baby truly changes everything and I took pride in embracing my calling as a mom. I mean I poured myself into being my girls’ mom that slowly but surely, I started to lose myself in motherhood.
My priorities started to shift the moment I held my first born in my arms. I couldn’t help falling in love with this precious baby whose very existence in the beginning depending mostly on me. I can’t forget the brutal transition from at least 8 h ..read more

Our college tour to the University of Connecticut in Storrs (UConn) several years ago turned into a yummy story destination and we are still raving about it. Our visit to the beautiful UConn Storks campus has been long overdue. We were glad to have a personal trustworthy guide in our niece which made our college tour to UConn the more special.
Late in 1880, brothers Charles and Augustus Storrs donated land and money to start an agricultural school in Connecticut. More than 130 years later, the University of Connecticut has become one of the top 20 public universities in the nation. The Univers ..read more

WELLthy Mom push up excercises encourage me to stick to my workout routine at home in the cold weather months. I have to be honest, working out was somewhat nonexistent when I had my third child because I was exhausted all the time. One day I was listening to Shawn Stevenson’s podcast The Model Health Show. He was talking about the only five exercises you need to do if you don’t have time for a regular gym schedule. I was all ears because as a busy WELLthy wife mom it sounded like he was talking directly to me. Basically, the five exercises consist of pushups, lunges, squats ..read more
