  We found ourselves at Trader Joe’s at the Summit one date night as we tried to figure out where to eat for our date night. We love Ono Poke, but we wanted to try something different.   We didn’t get to visit as many restaurants as we intended in 2023 but we have some favorites! I struggle with deciding which meals were my favorite - mainly because I find something delicious in most things that I eat. Nick is more decisive.   I know that the Makarios Ranch House in Hoover, Alabama doesn’t only serve breakfast. I hear that their lunch and dinner is good as well. You’ll find Greek cuisine and Mediterranean food on their menu.   I do this every new year. I realize that I haven’t updated the blog in… what? a year? How embarrassing. This has been quite a year for sure. Nick started a new job earlier this year that didn’t pan out but he’s still hopeful to find something he’ll love. Our youngest daughter had her first baby - a girl - in July.
