I sincerely hope somebody can help me to resolve this OS issue. I have been living with this for few months, however , now I need to fix it. i AM DEVELOPING A HOBBY BLUETOOTH APPLICATION and finally got my code to be able to actually send commands to the system. and that is why I need to fix this Ubuntu OS - it started after one of the "upgrades" and affect ANY applications at random. It usually goes away an return the OS to no9rmal opertio9n. How to setup 2 networks cards on a single Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS properly?

Let's make it pretty straight forward and clear (I hope it will). :-) I have a (virtual) Linux webserver (Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS) and it's on a VMware ESXi host in a corporate environment. The server is physically connected to 2 networks, one is a direct/dedicated WAN line for the webserver and the other network is the internal network to communicate with other physical servers. For the moment the webserver is connected to the "network2" virtual interface which is the dedicated WAN line on the hypervisor and it's working fine. Now I would like to connect the webserver to the internal networ ..read more

GPO for Ubuntu 18.04 and above

Hello everyone, Until recently, we start to have Ubuntu machines in the companies' network (which had only Windows machines before), so I'm looking for a solution to join them to the domain and have our GPO applied on these machines. Domain joining is done, users can now login using domain accounts. But GPO is still a problem for me. I've been looking through the Internet and came up with ADSys. But based on what I read, ADSys comes with Ubuntu 21.04 only (I have machines running on Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04), and to have full functionalities, I must have Ubuntu Advanced. Is there anyone that suc ..read more

I’m setting up samba on an Ubuntu server. I need to keep records of file operations for 90 days. How can I set this up? All I can find is a log size setting. Don’t really want 100meg log files, and it seems to say it saves the main log and one previous before overwriting? I may be reading things wrong.   ..read more

NFS Problems on several systems

Hello All, I've come across a rather odd problem that I can't seem to wrap my head around. We have several ubuntu 22 virtual servers that acquire data at local offices from sensors. Roughly 10-40gb of data per day. The data is rather latency sensitive, so being directly connected to the same subnet seems to be required. Thus the reason for several servers at serveral offices. To centralize the data, I have each local server uploading the data nightly to all 4 central repositories. a primary and a backup at our main data center as well asa primary and a backup at our dr data center. The central ..read more
