Four waves of thunderstorm potential move through Chicago over the next 24 hours. Round 2 & 4 are the only one’s expected to materialize. Round 2 has the most significant severe risk but for lakeside counties it will be wave 4 including West Rogers Park. This episode discusses the details.
In Iowa wave 3 will pose the most significant weather threat. Wave 2 will also have a severe weather potential. Wave 1 is from warm front, Wave 2 is from fading dry line, wave 3 is from outflow of wave 2 and wave 4 is from systems cold front.
