During the filming of “Kabira” for “Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani”, I had the honour of directing her. On a crisp evening, amidst rounds of Pictionary by the poolside with the crew, she leaned in and said softly, “When the time comes for my wedding, I’d be honoured if you would be the one to capture it.” I was taken aback, a blush creeping up unnoticed. She held onto that sentiment, gently reminding me of that whispered promise during her wedding film’s screening years later.

Rusna and Stel’s wedding – where Sikhs met Greeks – in a stunning symphony of love, music, and laughter. This was no ordinary ‘I do’; it was a ‘we do’, as our crew became family, united in capturing this wedding!
What do Sikhs and Greeks have in common? More than you might think! Both share a passion for life, a knack for throwing unforgettable parties, and a deep reverence for family bonds. Oh, and a fondness for a good drink and a spirited dance.
One prefers Feta, another swears by Paneer. They may not agree on cheese, but guess what? They both say ‘Yes, please!’ to a Big Fat Wedding. It do ..read more

A few lessons I’ve learnt over the years while working in India;
Always keep an eye on the ball and don’t give control to people who don’t deserve it.
Don’t trust people who encourage your bad habits and have serious dark circles. They may look like pandas but they can’t sleep at night cause they do so much harm in the day.
People who can’t have what you have usually claim “the grapes are sour.” But you know how sweet they are. Make wine while they whine.
Create something no one else can mimic unless they have your soul. They may steal your words, your thoughts, music, money and things but th ..read more

Here’s a mic test with a short “three hord” romantic melody. I recently started playing the ukulele to sharpen my music skills but every time I would record videos on my phone or camera the onboard mics wouldn’t pick up the nuances of the strings and it would sound ‘tinny. It demotivated me tremendously. Enter the new Sennheiser MKE400 mic which is really easy to use, kinda affordable, versatile and portable! Whether you like to record songs and instruments as a hobby at home or you’re making an epic wedding film and you want professional sounding audio in a budget, the MKE400 is a mic worth l ..read more

We recently filmed this wedding during the pandemic and we wanted to share it with you, so you too can see how beautiful a small wedding can be.
Their wedding was one of the first few we filmed after the long lockdown and despite the dates getting pushed, we never gave up, which also inspired the song.
Dharshinee got in touch with us well before COVID was a real concern. Yet as the world was thrown into uncertainty, Dharshinee was certain she would get married on her chosen day and have us there to film it.
Their wedding trailer features a cover of ‘I won’t Give Up’ by Jason Mraz, sung b ..read more

A Sikh wedding (Anand Karaj) revolves around music. 4 Gyanis sing devotional songs and read from the Guru Granth Sahib Ji, beginning with an ‘Ardaas’, followed by the ‘Palle’, then the ‘Lavan’ the second ‘Ardaas’ and finally, ‘Vadaaiyaan’.
Keeping these rituals in mind, I had a good sense of how it will flow and combine that with Kingshuk’s music skills and you have Waheguru. This composition is a representation of the simplicity of a Sikh wedding, which is what makes it all the more beautiful to witness.
“The most beautiful thing about a Sikh wedding is that everyone is seated. Their foc ..read more
