On Tuesday, August 10, will perform an upgrade to our proxy server. The upgrade will begin at 6 a.m. and is expected to be completed by mid-day. The proxy server redirects requests for e-resources through our single sign on authentication system, allowing secure access to e-resources from on-campus or off-campus connections. While the proxy server is down, links will not be functional to many of our subscribed journals and databases.
For questions or concerns regarding this downtime, you may contact Libraries administration at libadmin@binghamton.edu ..read more

A recent change in Gmail filters is causing emails sent by the Libraries to route to patrons’ spam folders. We are working with ITS and Google to resolve this issue.
In the meantime, faculty, students and staff are advised to check their spam folders in Bmail for communications from the Libraries regarding due date reminders, hold shelf notices, and other library notices.
You may also check your online library account for information on loans, fines, and requests. Log into ILLiad for updates on Interlibrary Loan requests.
If you have questions, send an email to libnotic@binghamton.edu.

The Libraries, in conjunction with all SUNY libraries, recently upgraded our search interface – Find it! – with many new features.
The new features will enhance your overall search experience; however, library staff are aware of some performance issues and are diligently working with SUNY and the vendor, Ex Libris, to improve performance.
Ex Libris has acknowledged the issues and that the product is not as robust as both SUNY and Ex Libris expect it to be for SUNY’s consortial needs and complexity. Both SUNY, including representatives from campuses, and Ex Libris are working towards improved s ..read more

Update (7/17/19): The issue with Google Scholar has been resolved — you can access articles normally from Google Scholar by clicking “GetIt!”
Due to the recent migration to a new SUNY-wide library management system, the Getit@BU link in Google Scholar to access articles is not currently working. Library staff are diligently working on the issue with Google. It is anticipated that the issue will be resolved next week.
During this time, you can still access Google Scholar articles with the Getit@BU link by removing ‘discovery/’ from the URL – for example:
