I've been roaming this forum for a while now, looking at all the hard-to-start Marauder posts, so I'm sorry to be posting another one. Truth is, even after that and Spacer Jim's help, it's still not working properly... So I humbly request your help! This could take some serious detective work. It's a '97 Suzuki Marauder VZ800. Here's where I am so far: The battery was low, so I put it on a Battery Tender and got it up to 13.1v. When the key is turned to the on position, voltage... Due to an unforeseen issue with my left arm, there's a very good chance I won't be riding this season. I'm confident I could ride okay, but if ever started to lose balance at a stop sign, I doubt very much I'd be able to right the bike. At the end of last season, I did all the usual prep for six-month non use; oil and filter change, brake and clutch fluid change, radiator drain and fill, top off the tank with stabilized gas after running the carbs dry, tires off the ground, battery... I am having trouble removing the speedo odometer cable in the front hub. I removed everything except the parts for the cable. I can only remove one small screw in the assembly and I can not get the cable to come out of the hub and I can't see what the problem is. There are two other small holes in the gear and at the cable end inside the hub. I have small screwdrivers and allen heads and nothing works. The cable comes out of the hub about 1/4 inch but stops. Any suggestions are... 1967 Suzuki B105P Bearcat ..read more

Greetings all, a newbie here on the forum, looking for input on a new set of buns for my '09 Strat. I've had Michellin II's on them twice and liked their tackiness in the twisties out here in Colorado but their longevity left something to be desired in the long haul. So here's what I'm finding out: Tires for this bike (130/7R-18 front, 190/6-17 or 200/55-17 rear) are becoming more and more hard to find since Michellin no longer does my specs. I've found the Metzler 888 in these specs but... Stratoliner / Roadliner tires ..read more
