Just got a warranty repair done on my 2020 Escape Titanium by Safelite due to a seal separation issue (also done by Safelite through insurance) but the quality of the glass and workmanship makes me want to take it back...
In the first image I'm not sure what they did to the from camera sensor but I don't remember it looking like that.
In the second image there's cracks/chips where I believe one pane of glass was cut from another. This just seems like they used a cheap replacement glass and/or damaged it while installing.
In the third and fourth images I noticed wildly inconsistent sealing aro ..read more

I’m at a loss! The paint on the edge of my driver’s front door of my 2018 Escape is repeatedly scratched off. I cannot figure out what part of my body or my personal belongings is repeatedly scratching this specific area of paint. This has also happened to my passenger front door - but not as badly or as often. We put protective film on it, and that also scratched through… it’s been over a dozen times now. Any insights into what could be causing this?

So i have a 2011 ford escape xlt 2.4l, I'm sitting in the car with the AC on and it switches between cold and warm every few seconds, when it switches back to cold it revs a little and it's cold for a minute or two then goes back to warm. Is this normal or??

Hi everyone, I bought a 2020 Ford Escape about a month ago. It’s been such a great car! But this morning while driving into work I got the little wrench and check engine light pop on. The car ran the same no difference. I checked the code at Autozone, as I couldn’t get into the dealer till Monday. It came up with Code P2AB8, which said “wastegate position sensor “a” circuit low”
Do any of you know what that means? I’ve tried looking all over online, I’m just trying to see if it is ok for me to drive till I get it to the shop.

I bought a 2017 ford escape (w/ a 2.0L ecoboost) back in December. Since buying it I’ve had a lot of mechanical issues that I addressed as promptly as I could. About a week ago I got the news that the car was in need of an engine replacement due to a design flaw from a friend who is a mechanic. He recommended we take it to ford to start a claim, so we did but ford said that they were unwilling to help.
So I guess my question is, is there anything else I can do? I don’t have the $7300 for a new engine.

Still owe $6000 147,000 miles Routine oil changes Previous problems with headlights going out and ignition coils faulting causing stutter on the low side of a gear or heavy acceleration. Recently it's been needing coolant top off every few hundred miles.
3 hrs away from home and it stutters bad and oil light comes on along with blinking yellow engine. There was a slight tick noise before shutting off. (Thinking sucking oil pump) Looked underneath and there was a clear oil trail and puddle. There was a bit of oil on top of engine as well.
Based on some reading and my own experience I'm leaning ..read more

the 2018 escape is my first car given to me by my family. I've been having transmission issues of jolting which has not been fixed by fluid change. My warranty has ended. This transmission is a ticking time bomb.
Nevertheless, I've really wanted to drive a manual car and obviously my car isn't a manual.
So when the transmission does eventually blow up, instead of spending 3k+ regardless to rebuild it, I figure to spend some more and do a manual swap instead. I could buy a used 2018 kuga 6mt from europe and last even longer.
Would this be even doable since there are differences between the esc ..read more
