Wow its been a while since I did one of these hasn’t it?
Back in June, there was interest brought to my attention for doing a group Taobao order. Since I am well versed in the Taobao shopping app and using a shopping service, I offered to facilitate this order and put everything together and deal with the shopping service. I elected to use 42Agent because I have a good history and rapport with them, and they also have a low fee. After all was said and done, the ten of us placed an order for upwards of $1000, $275 to ship AIR, in a 30lbs box! I couldn’t wait to drag this into my house.

This month’s Bibliotheca blog theme is horror! I really didn’t know what to write for this and while I got a lot of great ideas from my fellow Bibliotheca bloggers, I finally was inspired enough to write about something and I have decided to use this month’s theme to talk about spooky & Halloween meet up ideas!
Want to do something spooky, and Halloweeny with your comm? Need ideas of what to do? Read on for some of my tips for hosting a perfectly spooky meet up~
Pumpkin Patch – this one is kind of obvious, and definitely the most common. Take your comm to a local pumpkin patch. They often ..read more

I am here today to talk about my personal disappointment with Angelic Pretty’s 2023 MTO of Sugar Hearts. This is all based on my personal opinion and is not meant to judge anyone who does like this release. But to talk about Sugar Hearts we first need to go back in time and talk about 2011…
The year is 2011… I am heavily involved in fairy kei and one of my absolute favorite motifs is conversation candy hearts. This motif was blasted on my tumblr non-stop because I thought it was so cute. I even took to trying to use the actual candies in jewelry making. Working hard to discover what method I c ..read more

You may remember two years ago, I posted a review of the iconic Sugary Carnival for it’s MTO release in 2021. Well, we’re back with another highly anticipated MTO re-release from Angelic Pretty, the equally iconic; Milky Planet
Milky Planet was originally released by Angelic Pretty in 2010, and again in 2013. This print was available as a skirt, JSK, hater JSK, OP, cutsew, and salopette. As well as having numerous matching accessories in headbows, socks, eco-totes, and countless pieces of jewelry. Milky Planet would go on to be a staple of the 2010’s sweet era, and an iconic piece of lolita f ..read more

About a year ago, I decided to buy MAXICIMAM’s Petit Four Heart Cookie Whipped Headdress in the black x pink colorway. Originally I planned to buy this from their CDJapan shop, but a friend of mine suggested I order it from Japan and include it in her shopping service order to avoid paying exorbitant shipping fees for such a small item. So I sent the link to her to send to her SS and the item was ordered. I was in no rush so I just waited for her order to be complete so I could get my headdress. This late summer, since I ended up using the same shopping service for my Milky Planet order, my fr ..read more

This past weekend I attended Kei Con with some of my friends. This was my very first large scale J Fashion event as well as my first time in Canada. I have a lot to say so this is going to be a long post, but I’m going to break it down into sections so you can skip to whatever you want to read.
But first, what is Kei Con? Kei Con is a J fashion convention held in Toronto, Canada. Started in 2019 by Spooky Sparkle Party owner, Rae; Kei Con has now held three in-person conventions featuring panels, vendors, fashion shows, tea parties, games, raffles, etc. The con is three days and brings in 150 ..read more

Lately I’ve really been itching to go thrifting. I love second-hand shopping because you have the chance to find some really cool treasure! So, I took my mom with me out of town to check out a flea market and some thrift stores this past weekend. I was strictly looking for cute things, or things I could use in lolita. I didn’t expect to find anything so I went in with a light hearted openness that I think is essential for proper second-hand shopping.
First we went to The Lucky Flea, a seasonal weekly outdoor flea market with many vendors and food trucks. I had never been there but always wante ..read more

In 2020, I became very obsessed with Shimotsuki Sakuya’s Whisper of Stars OP in black. However, after several months of pining I gave up on the dress because the OP is too small. I never changed my mind to the JSK because the JSK did not have the dangling star hem like the OP did. So, I gave up on this dress and moved on. Flash forward to 2023, I am attending Kei Con in Toronto this autumn and I really wanted an elegant coord for their big tea party. I realized I don’t own anything I can feasibly wear this year so I knew I would need to buy a dress. Sometime later I saw a photo of something th ..read more

Last week me and my partner went on a four-day trip to New York City and New Jersey. While the majority of my trip was for food tourism, there were a few cute things I did that I wanted to share here ~
Day One:
We spent the first day of our trip in Manhattan. We went to Kinokuniya near Bryant Park. I really wanted to get some Japanese fashion magazines so I was excited to go here. The NYC Kinokuniya is small but there’s so much stuff in there that it’s actually quite overwhelming. There are three floors. The first floor is general books, mostly English language. The second floor is all manga a ..read more

I hosted a small Barbie Movie meet with my comm last weekend! Not many people came, just a handful of us but one of the attendees was a newer lolita and this was her first meet up!
After weeks of waiting around for tickets to be available for our selected date, we chose to see the movie at 4:30. I arrived around 3:40 to take pictures and just hang out beforehand. Unfortunately this theater did not have the Barbie box This was my second time seeing the movie and the first theater I went to didn’t have one either. But at least here they had a poster! So, we took pictures in the lobby with the B ..read more
