From 28th to 30th of September 2022 the Small Scale Test #14 (SST#14) which took place at ERTZAINTZA’s training facilities in Brigada movil, Bilbao, Spain, focused on testing and validation of the INGENIOUS Smart Devices in the air and on the ground. The Small Scale Test #15 (SST#15) in Bilbao was the opportunity to test, for the first time, the triage systems (ICCS) consisting of the tag, the mobile application and the web platform. To do this, we simulated a terrorist attack with 6 victims involved, presenting various degrees of severity ranging from dead victims, vital emergency, or relative emergency. The Small Scale Test #13 (SST #13) of the INGENIOUS project tested and evaluated the INGENIOUS K9 vest (ICCS) during the search of victims in damaged buildings which are too dangerous for entering for the first responders. The main application for the K9 vest in the damaged building scenario is the search for victims in partly destroyed or unstable buildings which are too dangerous for the first responders. The importance of early warning of the presence of hazardous gases is of paramount importance for the safety of First Responders (FRs) and their operations. The gas sensor (Alpes Lasers & TUW) to be demonstrated within the INGENIOUS project needs to warn users in a simple and efficient manner. The INGENIOUS project organised its Final Event virtually on Tuesday 31 January 2023. After three years and five months of productive research work and innovation the INGENIOUS partners showcased the project’s results and outcomes and demonstrated the final INGENIOUS solution for the First Responder (FR) of the Future: A Next Generation Integrated Toolkit (NGIT) for Collaborative Response, increasing protection and augmenting operational capacity.
